Hello Folks,

CIC has asked for my Wife's travel history information. In one of her US visits she does not have the Canadian stamp on arrival and we do not actually remember the exact date of her arrival to Canada and we put an approximate date.

Should I write a LOE by creating a case specific inquiry telling the VO that the arrival date and number of days stayed in USA might be off by 2-4 days?

I am 3rd July AOR and UCI number got updated and asked for travel history info. of my wife.

Please help. its urgent!!!!

Try to get the accurate date by looking at the following.

* facebook check ins.
*email to find hotel bookings.
*credit card statements and find purchases in USA
*cellphone bills to see roaming charge.

If you still cant find the entry and exit date, write them LOE explaining everything and attach it with the travel history form. How?
-merge the travel history document and the loe.

Canada border control didn't stamp mine when I had travelled to USA and returned to Canada by car. I recommend you just write an LOE and explain the situation. It won't be a problem.

They ask for travel history, I am not sure they refer to passport to check every stamp. Just add a Letter of Explanation with the travel history about a missing stamp and give them other supporting documents or just the dates of exit and date of entry to US or Canada whichever is missing. That should be sufficient. Tell them the truth how the stamp is missing and how you've done your part to identify the exact date based on bills or emails or receipts, etc. Shouldn't be an issue.
