Remove Work Experience?

Hello

Just a bit concerned about the work experience I have mentioned in the EE profile.
I have had about 2 years of experience in London, back in 2010-2012 and apparently that company has closed down some years back. So when I get ITA, what if they aren't able to verify the experience I had? I do have one contact who can confirm about the experience, but nothing apart from that.

Is it better to remove that particular one? I have 4+ Years experience even if I remove that.
Also, if I remove that, I'd have a gap of 2 and half years since my graduation and next work history - does it make any difference?

As long as your CRS and FSW points are not impacted, you can remove that work experience.

The gap can be mentioned as work experience in your personal history. You won't need to provide any proof that you worked in that period, as you wouldn't be claiming points.

It's also a good idea to mention any updates you make after getting your ITA in the letter of explanation.

good advice with that letter of explanation. So briefly explaining my reason of removing work experience that the company had closed down during recession and I had no paper proof to verify my experience, is wise and good enough?

When you're filling your EE profile, there's a personal history section where you fill in your activities in the last 10 years. Activities include work, so you're supposed to fill in all your work activities, even those that aren't used to claim points.

The work history section of the EE profile should only be used for work experience that is used to claim points.
