COPR/VISA One of the last names is missing!

Hello Folks,

This is my first time posting here but I really dont know if the hiccup I ran into is indeed a problem. My wife and I got our passports back with visa stamped and as well as our COPRs. My Visa and Copr are fine in terms accuracy however, my wife has only her maiden name as her last name on COPR and visa despite passport of hers reads her maiden name plus my last name. To simplify the case here, her last name is not spelled as: maiden name + our family name. The character count is 9+9.

Would this be the case because their system can only register so many characters? I checked the other threads about the name issue... I am super frustrated as we booked our airlines for next week and I have my start at my job the following week?

Help would be much appreciated!

Yes, the characters in IRCC's system are limited. Have your wife travel with your marriage certificate and/or birth certificate. Shouldn't be an issue anywhere.

The part where it bothers me that, why the last name has not got cutten off like other people' docs who mentioned about this issue but completely missing. For example, her full name is: Alisha(first name) Kelly(maiden name) Carpenter (last name of her husband). On her copr the last name is completely missing excep her maiden name. All forms were sent reflecting the full name on her passport.

We just dont want to end up being denied upon arrival next week due to this reason...

Is there any other experienced member has encountered such situation?

I am kind of running out of time and I am trying to understand if this would put our landing in jeopardy...
