Hey Guys, I'll ask this here in case someone can help me with my doubt:

I have a doubt with my profile and NOCs and want to see if you can enlighten me.

I have more than 10 years of experience. Until April 2013, I was working under NOC 0911 (manufacturing managers). My duties match perfectly this NOC and I already have the documentation. I chose this as my primary NOC for my EE profile.

Since then, my career took a slightly different path. While I still worked directly in Supply Chain, I wasn't working in manufacturing, but in demand planning and operations. I worked for a company since April 2013 to February 2016. This company closed operations and getting the letter can be challenging, but I'm not worried about this as I'm not claiming points for this job. Since March 2016 I've been performing the same job for another company, and I'm claiming points for this one. I can't find a NOC that matches my actual experience, but I performed most of the duties of NOC 1215, so I chose that one for this experience.

Now come my question. I know that this won't be a problem if I get a direct ITA, but if I get a NOI from Ontario would this be a problem? Because the OINP requires at least one year of experience in the previous 5 years, I probably won't be able to show my experience under my primary NOC. Should I change my primary NOC to 1215? I believe that in the future my best bet for a PR would be going with OINP, so I want to be ready for that. But as I don't feel 100% confident about this NOC, I was claiming 0911 as my primary NOC.

Can I use one NOC for the OINP and another one for EE? Or should I use the same primary NOC?

Thank you very much. In my case, I am still not sure about my NOC for my previous job. Tried to check with different NOCs, but really nothing matches. It was an employment for just 8 months, so can I just leave it while completing my profile.
Have read that, that later after ITA I can mention it in the personal history.
Any thoughts.

Of course, if you already have full points for foreign work experience, you don't need to include that job.
But, as you've already said, post-ITA you need to declare it under personal history.

Ur writing got me excited back to my entrepreneurial aspirations...(few minutes back I was thinking about a 'start up' post landing with some amazing friends I met up here...and was thinking about preparing a viable project plan to present on sidelines of the grand Yukon night to get the attention of all party goers...and I was thinking on the lines of 300k landed immigrants per year over next 5 years presenting an opportunity in food processing / retail / imports and just then you just put the export potential onto my radar... ....

wisdom,knowledge,world view etc has little correlation to age / place where you live...it's more to do with the kind of perspective and attitude one carries...

On one site about Toronto, I read an article about how Toronto and Canada in general is a good place to start a business because you can focus on running your business rather than stress over how you will pay for any unexpected healthcare expenses. I do some very small scale business activities on the side here, but I have remained really bogged down at my demanding and time-consuming day job due to worries about health insurance.

Actually the highest % of cancelled application is bound to the PCC (missing PCC or incorrect PCC). And right after that are missing diplomas or missing translations or original copies. And only after that you have problems with reference letters (maybe around 1 or 2% of all cancellations).

Yes I forgot not translated documents, that's one really important point.

Not to justify myself, but the point I was trying to make clear was the importance of these docs when making the final e-APR, with no particular order.

Not all expenses are paid from public health care system. For example, you need additional health insurance for these:
1. Dentist
2. Optometrist
3. Chiropractor
4. Medicaments
...

In USA you have also option to take health insurance as a business owner (some people do it). that is just part of your expenses there. In Canada, you have to forward you money as taxes for public health insurance as well.

In Canada, worries are more like if you will manage until is your turn in the waiting queue for the doctor.

When it comes to business it really depends on the market. Count, that Canadian market is 10x smaller than US market. And that every time you will be dealing with international clients (from USA for example), you will have to deal with customs and custom clearance as well.

OINP doesn't ask for your specific NOC as a candidate, like the IRCC does. But what OINP asks is for the NOC under each of your jobs.
So, to answer your question, you could totally keep your NOC in the EE system.

What you must have clear is that OINP is very strict with the work experience, even more than the IRCC. So, if you're planning on taking the OINP way, be sure to have all your LOEs ready for the documents you can't get of the job you had from 2013-2016, as they like to have a good nice work reference letter (with all the parameters they ask for, like work hours, job description as in the NOC, positions held in the timeframe, etc.), the work contract, the pay slips or bank statement with the deposits, etc.

Also, in the OINP all paid job experience must be declared as such, you can't input that as a personal history line.
So, be ready to prepare all the work exp docs you need to prepare.


Anything else you need to know, please, just ask.

it could be a hit.......we could take it to the market and list and be millionaires in ten years....

Bar at street level, hotel rooms above for tourists. Throw special events on the major holidays of all the different countries. It could become a nice place for tourists to visit to get full exposure to the diversity of Canada. It should be in a central location near office buildings, so locals can come when they want to try something new and exotic for lunch.

Thanks @vensak, that is good information to know. Healthcare costs in the US are out of control. Even before taking into account insurance payments, the price of heathcare here is a lot higher than it is in Canada and other countries. Hospitals and other medical institutions have negotiated discounted rates with insurance companies, but they charge an individual without insurance a lot more than they even charge the insurance company of the insured. For example, a doctor's visit could be charged $150 to someone with insurance, and the insurance could cover $120 and the person would be cover $30. But an individual without insurance might be charged $300. Prescription drugs are also significantly cheaper in Canada than they are here. That's why a number of Americans buy prescription drugs from Canada when they can. The US system is very badly run and costs have spiralled out of control.

@ivancabrer did you declare ALL of your paid work experience for OINP? I had the impression that Ontario only really cares about your work experience over the last 5 years. I have letters of reference covering all my work experience since December 2001, but my proofs of compensation date back only to 2006. My full history of paid full time work experience dates back to 1998 and I declared all with NOC codes in my EE profile, but for OINP, I wasn't planning on declaring any of my work history prior to December 2001 (because most of my experience prior to that was with a company that went out of business many years ago).

Hi guys. Please i have 2 questions. 1. When submitting reference letter to OINP is it a must that the letter must be addressed to OINP directly or another addressed to IRCc directly will work?
2. I asked this before but there was no response so I will ask again. Can I use another cgkey to create another profile in readiness for when OINP will open again?
