Divorce on sponsorship visa

I'm asking this question on behalf of my friend, as I tried to find an answer for her, and was not able to find an answer by myself and need your help to get some clarifications.

My friend came to Canada with her husband two years. He (husband) was a student, she was on spouse sponsor visa. Recently husband graduated and received PGWP and visa and she received OWP and visa for 3 years, but their marriage falling apart and now she is trying to find an answer on the follow question:

If she get a divorce here is Canada will her Visa and WP be canceled or she will be able to stay here till the end of her permit and visa?

I don't believe that is a requirement. The divorce changes nothing with respect to the existing work permit eligibility.

Note that this is not related to a PR sponsorship. This is an Open Work Permit case.
