Hi, legalfalcon

Thank you so much for your information. I have filed my application in Feb and submitted the PCC (the country I visited for more than 6 months before) in April. I travel to this country again in July and plan to leave at the end of August. Just to be clear again, I don't need to update this country's PCC when I go back to my home country, is this correct? Thank you so much!
If you have submitted your application, your application is locked and you need not update anything. As per IRCC:

  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country.
After filing the application, you are free to travel to any part of the world!

This is the part that I'm worried. Because as you can see, when I go back to my home country, the police certificate I submitted will not be qualified as "have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country." However, I came to this country after I had filed my application. The timeline here is:
1) Application file in Feb,
2) PCC (country travalled more than six months before) provided as additional document required in April. PCC was issued by police in Feb.
3) Travalled to this country again in July and stayed for about a month,
4) Go back to home country in Aug.
Do you have any thought according to this specific case? I do believe my case was kind of special. Thank you very much for your great help!

Hi All,

I have received PNP from NB to apply on 4 December, 2019, and submitted my Express Entry Full Package on 23 January, 2020. However, today I got a message that my application was cancelled due to incomplete info, namely my Police Certificate from Azerbaijan, which IRCC recommended to get from Embassy, and Embassy issued me original police certificate in Azeri language and Embassy letter in English that stated referring to original document that I have no convictions or crime history in Azerbaijan. So I have written back to IRCC asking why my application was rejected if I followed their instruction and got whatever Embassy issued and scanned it to them.

But at the same time, I want to understand one thing, the police certificate is required for 10 years, but I am not sure what is a reference point for counting back those 10 years? Is it the date when I created my express entry profile, or date when I was nominated by province, or the date my profile was selected on express entry draw, or the date when I submitted my final application package?

I want also understand 6 month or more in a row bit. So basically since March 27, 2011 I live in USA, and before that I lived in Azerbaijan. But in my last one and half year I did not stay 6 month or more in a row in Azerbaijan. I traveled 4 times, as per below dates, out - date I left, in - date I returned, always interval is less than 183 days.

Out In
1/5/2010 - 1/12/2010
7/6/2010 - 7/16/2010
10/6/2010 - 10/7/2010
1/13/2011 - 1/20/2011

So I wonder why system even asked me for the Police Certificate from Azerbaijan? Was I supposed to provide it?

Please advise if you can, because it was my last chance to get Canada PR, as I am 41 years old and hard for me to make CRS threshold at this age.
