u can do whatever u want but its not recommended because its not a logical progression of ur education. U may have issues getting visa is my guess

go for PG or masters preferable masters better for PR too

Try for a Masters indeed. If your profile is engineering, try looking for courses like MEngg.

PG Diplomas are not bad, but then if you are actually into studying they are not worth it.
They are good for those students who have long term goals like PR, Work permit and stuff.
