What is the update show in CIC profile??
I got an email saying there’s an update in my CIC account.

In my CIC account, there was a pdf file with instructions as to where to send the passport and the documents required.

My status changed to In Progress for the first time as well. It only changed to approved once my tracker said they are sending back my passport later on.

Finally got my PPR!!! Yesterday my BG changed into IP(2) and today at 6pm, PPR email arrived!
I'm Feb 15 AOR, FSW Inland, experienced 4 month of BG-NA, can't believe how I survive those desperate days. Now finally everything clears.

My timeline:

ITA Feb 8, 2017
AOR Feb 15, 2017
Med Pass and BG IP(1): March 28, 2017
BG NA: April 27, 2017
BG IP(2): Aug 21, 2017
PPR: Aug 22, 2017

I called CIC at the morning of Aug 21 and my BG changed to IP(2) the same day and then PPR arrived next day.

So everyone who is already over 6 month, don't lose hope! I believe the VOs are back to work from vacation and all our PPRs are around the corner!

Hope this is the start of the PPR rain this week and let's embrace more PPRs!
Hi Everyone!

I have just received a message in my CIC Inbox from Immigration and Medical Services Divison, High Commission of Canada, London UK.

They have asked me to provide a copy of biopage of my passport to their office within 30 days.

I have already shared scans of my passport so I don't understand why they are asking for this again. So please tell me what this message means for my application and what should I expect next.

Also, should I just mention my Express Entry Number on the copies when I submit them? I believe our EE number is the application number, right?

Thank you for your response.
I also got the same today morning. I have provided the same. Can anyone advice how much time it takes post receiving this documents for PPR??

THANKS IN ADVANCE...

Hi,
I called CIC today and she told me that my file is waiting for the final review from the officer and sooner I can expect some movement in the file. I have crossed 6th-month mark and BG is not applicable since 15th May. The security check is not started yet. Can we trust information from CIC agent or it is just Generic one?

I just talked to CIC for the file status and was shocked to hear that my file is still in Canada and not yet transferred to LVO. I was hoping that I might receive PPR soon being 8th Feb but all hopes are gone. Again hope of getting PPR anytime soon diminishes.

In the last the agent said that all the documents are complete and file looks good for now. (Which I guess is their standard reply to all the applicants)

Anyone in the same position because I can see people with their file beIN transferred to LVO

Hey buddy,

Not all files are transfered to LVO and probably yours will be treated in Canada. Transfer to LVO doesn't indicate speedy PPR, in many cases, it can even be a disadvantage.
Just hang in there and wait for your PPR! Its around the corner.

Cheers

SOme delays can be expected in terms of security screening. You might be well aware of the situation with asylum seekers. Apparantely in Quebec 3600 people have entered illegelywithin first two weeks of August and you can imagine the numbers in others states such as ONtario etc etc. In order to ensure that these people are safe, the government is running initial security checks through RCMP before proceeding with their refugee claims processing.

Apparantly a large no of immigration officers are shifted to these places to ensure proper documentation and all.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/rcmp-says-it-has-intercepted-3-800-asylum-seekers-crossing-illegally-into-quebec-since-aug-1-1.4250806

This article talks about quebec only.

So GUys stay calm and wait for your turn till this situation normalizes.
