My application was recieved on September 14th, 2016. Should I be expecting news soon? Also, I submitted a Police certificate that was over one year old but I did not leave Canada since the certificate was issued. Would that cause problems?
Without knowing what you submitted, nothing? The police certificate will still work for CIC. You're in the time frame of applications being processed. Congrats on your DM. Landing should be soon.Thank u so much @sylvain1 !
Background (or facts discovered by it) are required to solidify AIP (family make up, previous relationship, dependents, etc). So, it's my belief that they are in fact done before AIP. Second stage is more medical, criminality, and security.Hope we get out DMs soon! My security check was started July 4th. You should call CIC and ask when your security check has been started so you can at least establish expectations!
I think background check is completed when we receive AIP, is that correct??
it just says "Decision Made" on the sponsor side, and "application received" on the applicant side, but we got that letter (I don't even know if that is AIP for sure, it doesn't say anything like that to confirm approval). it has been 3 months since we got that and since then zeroBut this is AIP, I thought you said you didn't get AIP, just SA.
no, just decision made on the sponsor sideHi @rizaki ,did u get decision made on your applicant side?
@SUNNY19984 With AIP, because you'll have a 3-months wait anyway. So applying with your AIP will start the 3-months now.
Thanks guys @sylvain1 and. @profiler!Now I can relax!Congrats on your DM. Landing should be soon.
Got dm for sponsor side today didth even get AIP but did medicals background check, csq and security should I get landing anytime soon?
Wow that sucks I would have to wait 2 months for the landing interview appointmentCongrats! CSQ would mean you are in Quebec, and that would also mean that the only office there, is in MTL. That office, unfortunately, is running behind (~4-8 weeks) for landings presently. Probably due to the Trumpugees.
but we sponsor our kids in phillipines ?There is no ppr when you apply inland.
