Hi!

I'm on a Work permit that is due to expire at the end of September 2017. I already received AOR for my PR and I submitted BOWP application. I want to invite my mom to visit me for just 1 month. She needs a visitor visa. This is not a Super Visa for parents, just a regular visitor visa.

The visa office checklist indicates: "If you are planning to visit a friend or relative, provide a letter of invitation with the full name and date of birth of your inviter". It doesn't show a template, nor a link to the official letter of invitation template.

What is the minimum documentation/evidence that I need to include in the invitation letter?

I don't want to include more information than necessary that could complicate things and cause the visa to be denied since I don't make a lot of money and my work permit is due to expire soon. I work a NOC C job where I only make almost $30,000 before taxes, I have $15,000 in savings. Can I just include bank statements? Or should I try to be super honest and show all possible evidence of money? I'm afraid if they see my payslips they will deny the visa. I cannot include my T4 as I was a student and didn't work for a while.

She has more money than me in the bank, she has a house, she is a widow, over 70 years old and has always been a housewife. She has another child and grandchildren back home as ties to the country.

I am from Quebec. So i received my CSQ and then i applied for PR. I applied for PR in December,2016. i submitted police certificate and medicals at the time of application. After that i got married in January end and i decided to add my spouse to the PR application. I notified CIC about my status change through helpline. I was not able to submit add-on documents because my spouse's passport was expired. Once her passport were renewed, I applied for her CSQ in March. Since one of the requirement to add spouse in PR is to get her CSQ, i did this step first. Her CSQ is still not issued. Then after i sent add-on documents(without CSQ) to visa office in June. Meanwhile i got medical request again in April,2017 . To that i upload medical certificate again and it looks like it was valid. Now i am a bit worried because visa office has not updated me whether my spouse is added to the file or not. I am also waiting for CSQ.

Please provide any guidance if you have came to known about similar scenario.

As per CIC, below are the usual duties of the 2174 NOC applicants:

• Write, modify, integrate and test software code
• Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
• Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements

While drafting the employment letter, I mentioned my duties as

• Write, modify, integrate, debug and test software code
• Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
• Identify and communicate functional & technical problems, processes and solutions
• Prepare reports, manuals, high level design and other documentation
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements
• Lead and Coordinate teams of computer programmers

I recently came to know that it may invite call to the employer if someone has mentioned the duties as they are described on the CIC website.
Will it create any problem while doing the background check about my employment? If yes, then how to make sure the BG check goes fine. Kindly guide.

You just cannot copy the job duties as is, as this is what creates the suspicion that there is something wrong and there will be investigation for sure. It will not be a problem in BGC, it will be a problem in eligibility.

The letter has to be a simple one, with the basic information that you are inviting your mother to visit you, have proof of health insurance, and attach your address, where you work and your last year tax return. As regards your family, you can write this in the letter, as it will male your case stronger.

It does sound confusing, but you need to take charge of your application and know at what stage you are at.

Also, I would suggest that you get your GCMS notes so that you know what is happening with your application. That will also enable you to see about your medical. Quebec is slow in processing and it does take time to get CSQ, but don't worry. As long as your application is on track, you are all good.

LVO requested ADR about my job experience by the end of May which they gave me 30 days (submitted), then on 10th July they requested ADR about my updated job offer, again gave me 30 days which I've submitted on 9th August and it still says...
"we need more docs to continue processing your application, we will send you a message with more details".
Do you think it's still old message??

Got an email titled Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa, sent at 21:03 Toronto time.

There is no update in my IRCC account and the status is exactly the same as before. (Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed. Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.)

The email asks for the following.

• Please submit two (2) passport-sized photos taken within the last six (6) months of you and each of your accompanying family members.
  
• Please submit original passports for:
  • You;
  • Your spouse/common-law partner (if applicable); and
  • All dependent children who will accompany you to Canada (if applicable).
• Fill out the form we have included as Appendix B and enclose it with your passport(s) and photos.

What is strange is that information has been provided in the email for residents of the following countries, although I moved from Singapore to Canada on 15 July while my partner has always lived in the Netherlands for the past year. The information is so as if I had never left Singapore although I have updated the IRCC multiple times about my move to Canada.

I cannot choose to send my passport to Canada, because the following is required.

This is rather stupid. My partner and I will have to send everything to Singapore while neither of us lives there!

It also says the following in the email.

Note: This letter is not a guarantee that a visa will be issued to you.

I have the following questions. Thank you in advance.

• Is this the PPR?
• I have read somewhere that citizens of visa-free countries do not need to send their passports physically. Is it no longer true? Both of us are Dutch citizens.
• Should I first ask my partner to send her photo and passport from the Netherlands to me in Canada, and send both our documents together to Singapore, or should we send our own documents separately from Canada and the Netherlands respectively?

Twice I was requested. First was from employment like pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns. Second time updated job offer, reason for hiring me from employer and the process I applied.

I have a question.

I am staying and working in Qatar. My AOR was in June 20 and I've passed medicals. I'm planning to leave and go back to my country and what if I get my PPR just exactly before I'm able to notify CIC of a change in my address? the date i'm planning to leave may or may not coincide with a PPR date. so I'm quite confused. And if I leave, my LVO changes and hence submitting PP will be a hassle.
I know it sounds quite complicated. any suggestions on what can be done ?

I am an FSW applicant, AOR is 8 April 2017, Medical passed and BGIP1 on 9 June 2017, BGNA since 14 June 2017.

Yesterday, I found out from an IRCC support centre agent that my file was being processed by Visa Office in Singapore. The agent could not confirm the date when the file had been transferred to Singapore as the file notes did not contain an email confirming the receipt by Visa Office in Singapore. She mentioned that IRCC usually receives 'Confirmation of receipt' email when files sent to visa offices outside Canada are received by those offices.

The agent informed that my file was last reviewed in Canada on 18 July 2017 and it must have been sent to Singapore shortly afterwards. She advised that there is no need for me to reach out to Visa Office in Singapore as my application is still within the normal processing time lines. Further to this, I was told that I have passed both R10 check and criminality check and everything looks good on my file.

Based on the above, kindly advise the best course of action:

- shall I wait until the end of 6 months from AOR (8 April 2017) before contacting CIC?

- Shall I send an email to Visa Office either in Canada or in Singapore to get clarification regarding the file location or where it is being processed?

- If yes, shall I mention the call to IRCC support centre in that email?

Highly appreciate your guidance.

I noticed 5 points reduction in my crs score from 438 to 433. The decline was in the Human Capital Age. I had my birthday in between ITA and Application submission. I read on CIC website that post ITA they do not consider the age change if it is due to birthday and hence no change in points? Am i correct?

How can i resolve this?

Did the agent tell you if you have passed your eligibility (A11.2) before they forwarded your file to SGVO? If you pass A11.2, possibility of refusal will go down significantly.
