Hi Everyone,

I currently have two options to apply for PR: Express Entry or spouse sponsorship.
I really want to apply via EE after working for a year because my spouse if unemployed and thus require support from my partner's parents, which I do not want to ask for unless it is deemed necessary.

I'm wondering how likely it is for me to get PR through Express Entry based on these facts:
  • U.S. - Got my Bachelor’s degree in 2013
  • U.S. - Upon graduation worked as a Channel Marketing Account Associate for 10 months
  • Canada - Earned Master's in Library and Information Studies in 2016
  • Canada - Did 8 months of co-op and 10 months of work learn during my master’s
  • Canada - Had a Technical Manager job for about 2 months upon graduation (I quit since the city and the job wasn’t my cup of tea)
  • Canada - Currently working as a full-time temp at a government related organization (not sure if this matters.. but I was the first choice for the job, but another person got it due to politics. This is why they offered a temp position).
    • I’m working in the company’s Library and File Registry department, so the work is related to my major – information and record management.
    • I think my job categorization would be either 5211 Library and public archive technicians or 5111 assistant librarian.
    • However, I’m worried about my title which is a support staff/clerk and not sure how much my employer would help.
Should I apply via EE?
If any could help in determining the my current situation that would be very helpful.
Thank you in advance.
