Hi guys... I applied for spousal sponsorship through Consultant (in Canada). Application sent July 4 and received July 5. But no AOR1 yet.

Anyone in same boat?

Sometimes it will take time. I've seen people who applied in the middle of June and got their AOR in August, so be patient or ask your representative to call the CIC and ask them about your application.

You can't be sure it'll be returned, none of us can be sure. It would be more certain to assume that they would just ask us to send only the two forms again and updated, that makes more sense to everyone. As the other people on this thread have said, we only noticed that update three days ago, and we checked for updates before mailing our applications, so it should be fine. I would advise you to stop worrying about it, it's not good for you, although I definitely understand you. If it gets returned, you apply again. If it doesn't, you keep moving forward. Either way, worrying about it is a futile exercise that will only stress you out a lot. Try to be optimistic, and remember that even if it gets returned, they process it faster when you send it back. Technically, they wouldn't have forms missing, so they would most likely just ask us to send the forms updated or don't ask us for that at all. The changes were minor, that is something in our favor too.

Does anyone know how long it would take to receive your application if it was returned? Anyone from the July group have their application returned? The waiting game for AOR1 is killing me and my mind is thinking worst case scenario, which really having the application returned isn't the worst, just not so convenient. Sorry, my pregnant brain won't stop worrying!

It can take 30-90 days to receive. Its sent via snail mail. You can call cic to see if its been returned. No need to stress baby out over this.

Did you just scan your NBI? Then submit it online? How about the schedule A? You convert it to PDF? Thanks

I didn't do either yet... I have the Schedule A completed but have not recieved Criminal report yet... we are expecting it this week from FBI (fingers crossed)... I plan on submitting both at the same time

I'm quite sure this question has been answered before but Im bit of panic so would like to ask it here.

We just sent out our application, It's been 1.5 weeks since it has been received and came to realize that the pictures for PR are incorrect measurements. the face size is not correct (max 36 mm etc).


Can we take new pictures and send them out again? is it better to send them to the office where my hubby's case will be processed? (abu dhabi)

If someone can assist with this question that will be great thank you.
