My CRS points decreased; but documentation already submitted

Hi,

I got my ITA in Jan. My CRS points at the time were 449. They remained the same at the time I submitted my documentation in April. However, when I checked my account recently (August), the CRS points were reflecting as 443. I'm not sure if this will affect my application.

It's still above the last CRS so I THINK it's still fine

Could it be due to your birthdate? However, if it is above the CRS cutoff for your round of invitation, you shouldn't be bothered. Likewise if due to your birthday, you should be fine

Thanks for this. Yes.. my birthday was in March and I received my ITA in Feb (not Jan). CRS points for the round were 447. I submitted my documents in April. By then the CRS points for the month had dropped further.

FYI, the points should not drop below the CRS cut-off for the round in which you were invited. It does not depends on the last CRS.

For drop in CRS points due to age, between ITA and AOR, the drop in points is usually ignored.

Since all the information from my end remains unchanged, I think the drop is due to age. I have also received my AOR. So I guess that I'll just have to wait and see. I wasn't worried till I checked my points again today. Now there's a teeny-tiny seed of doubt embedded in my brain. arrgghhh.

If your points decreased after AOR, then you have nothing to worry about.
