I been working here in Canada full time from August 2016 on a 2 year contract with a closed work permit and LMIA. So my question is, Do I get to say 'Yes' to whether I have valid job offer with LMIA and get additional 50 points? I have this doubt because I know that LMIA is usual valid only for 3 months from the date of it's approval. So mine would have expired by November 2016.

I am sure I can get a letter saying I have one more year or my employment is full time depending upon my visa status here but I am not sure whether I should say yes to valid job offer question because of this LMIA issue and I don't think my employer would renew LMIA until my work permit is expired.

If you have an LMIA based work permit, then you can answer YES.
The LMIA usually valid for 6 months, but if you have valid work permit which is LMIA based it can add 50 points for you.
This case is on the CIC website.
Good luck.
( but you need a job offer which shows every requirement, full time, permanent, non seasonal, valid at least for 1 year from PR....)

Thanks Sandra, I do have a full time / permanent job for another year so I think I should be good then :)

You misunderstand the requirement. As part of your application, your employer would have to provide you with a new job offer letter. This letter would have to specify the details of your employment, and indicate that the offer is either for a permanent job, or for a minimum of one year, AFTER you obtain your PR status.

This job offer letter is for the 50 bonus points, and is in addition to the reference letter (describing past work experience).

You need a job offer which clearly shows those factors: permanent, full time, non seasonal and valid at least for one year after your Pr.
So the lmia based work permit+job offer= 50 points.
Probably you have similar job offer already which was issued for the LMIA, you just have to get an update on that.

I do have a full time employement offer without mention of any end date effective from 1 August 2016. I think I will have to ask my employer for an update on this offer letter with latest date on the letterhead.

I just realised my contract is full time with no end date but my work permit is only 2 years.

Thanks for your time Sandra02 and Jes_ON

Were you able to get PR, i am in same situation, I have Positive LMIA and valid job offer. My Letter of reference mentions Fulltime and Permanent position. But no mention of 1 Year After PR.

What did you end up doing about your offer letter not mentioning '1 yr offer after PR'? Typical offer letters do not mention such things, they just say 'permanent job'. @ashwinvsinha were you able to find any answers, I am in the same boat.
