US asylum denied. Am I eligible for Canadian spouse visa

Hi everyone.
I was in the US on visit visa and applied to asylum. It was denied and now I'm back in my home country. I over stayed on US visa and have 10 years ban now.
I'm getting married to a Canadian citizen now. My question is 'am I eligible for Canadian spouse visa?, What difficulties I may face through out the Canadian immigration process? Do I need to get FBI report from US or any other reports?

Kindly confirm. For how many years of refusals they share records with each other?
Like if someone got Visa refused more than 5 to 10 years back from one country. Then They will share all old records also? Pls guide?

Yes - they share historical information.

You need to be 100% honest about your past immigration records.

Be aware that once you have Canadian PR (even Canadian citizenship), the 10 year ban will still apply - it doesn't go away when you become Canadian. Do not attempt to re-enter the US for the 10 year period. The US takes these bans extremely seriously.

Of course. They can dig up records from way, way back. As scylla said, be 100% honest.

Zero chance. You need to forget about visiting and have your Canadian spouse sponsor you for PR as soon as you're married. Once the PR visa is approved - you'll be able to come to Canada.

unlikely this sponsorship will not be scrutized heavily, this is a redflag of marriage of convenience, you will need to really prove how you met each other and how you build the relationship, it will be a hard battle to show it is true marriage and not for immigration only. Marriage of convenience if found even after become citizen later has serious consequences including deportation and life time ban
