Bryanna and senior members your help is needed

I have a valid work permit until next year november
I applied on Aug 3 for TRV after 2months of vacation here in india through vfs chennai.
Got a confirmation on Aug 4.
The problem is In my application i have entered $2000 as funds, unfortunately i did not provide necessary documents for that. I was wondering if i can show a travellers cheque to border service officer would it be enough or should i have provided it along with my application itself when i applied?
I quit the job before i came here so i do not have a employer's letter as well to satify the visa officer.
The good side My travel history is good. I did a post graduation in canada after that i remained as a worker over a year.

bottom line is what are my chances of getting a TRV since i failed to prove i have $2000 or employer's letter though i have a work permit.

I would email + send a CSE to the relevant visa office with the evidence of the CAD 2,000 and request that it be considered.

BTW CAD 2,000 would be on the low side.

Regarding your employment, you should also submit evidence or any new job offers and/or job interviews that are scheduled after you return.... with your TRV application

Hey @Bryanna

A friend of mine want to apply visitor visa from India , just for 15 days visit
his age is 27,single, educated( double masters),got a stable job, annual earning are more than $10,00000(Indian rupees) plus agricultural land. And he take care of all his ancestors property and his father have some health issues, so parents are totally dependent on him as he is their only son.
He have a sponsorship from a family friend ( he won't be able to show any proof of relationship)
Can you please advise how strong is his case? And should he apply for it?
What if visitor visa get rejected, will it have any impact on future applications for example PR application or spouse sponsorship application?
Please advise?

Hi,

1. What would be the purpose of his visit? Is his visit around holidays in India?

2. Do post the documents which he will be submitting

No, if his TRV is rejected for common reasons (and not for misrepresentation type of a refusal reason) then there's no impact on future PR applications, but he'll have to declare the refusal.

I think he has a good chance of getting a TRV approval. This, however, would depend on the documents/evidence which he intends to submit + his purpose of visit + his financial situation without borrowing

Cheers

Thank you for prompt response.
Purpose of visit:
1. just to visit family friends and some tourist places and he probably will be visiting in December around Christmas new year.
2.And he also want to pursue PHD further and want to check out with few universities there . (Im not sure if this would be a good idea to mention about it)
Please advise!!

He must draw up a detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates. He can state that he intends to visit in December as it would allow him to take a longer visit (2-3 weeks max) due to holidays/work slows down.

He must not mention this as the purpose of visit
