You answered it yourself - he sent the email so he must have thought everything was fine! Congrats
I hope so Bro , but I think that the decison of medical inadmissibility is done by CIC experts not the physician , the physician just ensures the procedure and the authenticity of the data submitted related to the specific candidate.

I am not sure why they checked platelet count for you. As far as I know they check only for Hep B, Sephilis in blood test unless you have any medical condition.

Yes, Health Canada makes the decision but if your own physician thinks things look good then they're usually fine - a doctor in one country is no different from one in another country. Healthy blood counts are universally the same across the globe! I would just relax :)

A lab technician is not authorised to make conclusions. How low is your platelet count? Is there any clinical manifestation? Do you suffer from any bleeding disorder? Are you in need for regular check up/medications?
What they want to know is :
- do you impose any risk to public health ( that obviously has nothing to do with isolated low platelets count)
- will you cause excessive demand on canada's public health/social services. If you are otherwise healthy and this low platelet count never caused symptoms then there is no need to worry.
Counts can be slightly below normal for lots of healthy people.
@dr feras and Dr @MartinH1337

Agree with both of you. @kandinski , if your are not symptomatic or not a risk for the public health (i.e. infectious) and will not cause excessive amount of pressure on the health system (budget, social services), you do not need to worry. This is from personal experience (my labs had evidence of my iron deficiency anemia and I still passed the medical, dude).

They usually do FBC ( full blood count) as a routine baseline test for all applicants as well.
