TRV within canada application- No application number after submission

Hi!

I submitted my online application for TRV last week and until now I havent gotten an application number. Is this a technical problem?

Hope somebody could help answer this.

From past few months the system may not give the file number right away and I have seen it taking over a week before one see the file number for the TRV application. However there is nothing to worry about this, it seems to be a normal practice of CIC now.

Thank youuu! But will this affect the processing days of the application? Im worried.

I don't think it would affect the processing time. My brother was refused in 19 days (a decision was made) including 8 days when there was no file number (june 2017). The processing time on website was 25 days. So looks like it is not affecting the overall processing time specifically due to this. As per my observation, the delay in file number started after there was a major technical shutdown at CIC in early June 2017. They might have changed their file intake process while fixing their tech issues.

Oh thats good to hear. Currently the processing days for TRV within Canada is 9 days. I just really hope it doesnt change and my application will be processed on time.
