Medicals problem - EXPERTS plz help

hello
I've been to the physician for my medical exam , my blood test revealed low platelets - just a little below normal.
guys, should I be concerned ??? (the lab guy told me that, not the medic)

please guys any similar case , I prefer to know before submitting my application

I'm a veterinarian, so don't take this as 100% truth, but we use the same blood tests in cats and dogs, even use the same machines as labs do for humans. Our machine even has a "human" setting on it!

Blood tests have 3 ranges usually - low, normal and high. These are based on averages within a population, as everyone is different. A slightly decreased platelet count, alongside an unremarkable clinical exam shouldn't be anything to worry about. In the worst case scenario CIC may as for a repeat test to see if things have worsened, as sometimes a slight thrombocytopaenia can be indicative of a haematological problem, but as I have said I wouldn't be too worried as it's most likely normal for you Sometimes there can also be slight clotting in samples due to taking too much blood for the tube/inappropriate handling, so yeah, don't stress too much until CIC tells you otherwise!

A lab technician is not authorised to make conclusions. How low is your platelet count? Is there any clinical manifestation? Do you suffer from any bleeding disorder? Are you in need for regular check up/medications?
What they want to know is :
- do you impose any risk to public health ( that obviously has nothing to do with isolated low platelets count)
- will you cause excessive demand on canada's public health/social services. If you are otherwise healthy and this low platelet count never caused symptoms then there is no need to worry.
Counts can be slightly below normal for lots of healthy people.

it was 125000 /mm3 160k/350k , the lab guy told me that cos he had to take an extra blood sample , that's why am really concerned , he told me also that everything else was alright

Thats not significantly low. Did you get to know the repeated result? As sometimes blood collection technique can be the cause.

nope , I didn't get the second result ,
I've talked to my family physician , he told me that medically it"s not a big concern and that I should take another test in 3 months not earlier cos it will not show any difference
also , he told me that since I don't have any nose bleeding or bleeding of any kind ,also no blues on my body so am not showing any symptoms of haematological problem , but he insisted that he is no Immigration expert.

What he said is correct. No need to worry, your result is not enough to make you medically inadmissible to canada. Good luck

I did my medicals today , the physician told me that if there is a problem , he will contact me ( phone call ) and if everything is alright he would send me the email confirmation that my medicals were sent to IRCC
and he sent me the email of confirmation ,
guys plz does this mean that my results are good ?

You answered it yourself - he sent the email so he must have thought everything was fine! Congrats

Does anyone know exactly what they test the blood for? I was assuming it would be routine tests like a complete blood count, sugar levels etc. But my panel physician hinted that Canada was only interested in testing candidates for HIV and syphilis.

Don't have an exact answer, but for me they only took one sample tube. Usually for CBC they use EDTA tubes as an anti-coagulant and for biochem, just serum or lithhep. I doubt they check CBC, biochem and HIV/syphilis from one sample, though I'm unsure. They definitely test for the latter.
The urinalysis would show diabetes, so they don't need bloods for that

They took a single sample tube for me too. And I know for sure that they tested me for HIV and syphilis because they made me sign a consent form.
