Hi,

My husband (Primary applicant) and I received Ontario PNP. We landed in Toronto in March 2017. I stayed back and my husband will come to Toronto next year.

My question is:
We may have some good job offers from Edmonton. By then I would have completed my 1 year in Ontario, however my husband would not have. Ontario PNP rule is that we stay in Ontario for 2 years. What if we accept the job offer in Edmonton?

What happens to our PR?
Will there be an issue during citizenship as we got an Ontario PNP but didn't stay in Ontario for 2 years?

Thanks

There is no Ontario PNP rule that you should stay for 2 years.

No issue with citizenship either if you move to Edmonton.

This is incorrect.

As per immigration rules, pnp candidates should stay in the nominated province for atleast 2 years. Currently, there is no effective way to track this but it might be a problem when you renew your PR card or citizenship. You cannot completely rule out. However, there could be few reasons where you can move out which immigration might believe on your move to another province.

1) If you haven't found a job in last 6 months

In short, there could be a risk and you might be lucky to escape:) best of luck
