Hi,
I have completed my studies with commerce background and have a PGDM in Finance. All the studies have been done in India with recognized institutes. I also have a 2.5 years work experience as a Business Analyst totally in Functional domain i.e. Finance.
Am i eligible for the Canadian PR Visa or is it mandatory to have an IT background for the eligibility.
Kindly help regarding this matter.

EE is not an occupation specific system. You can apply with any education or any experience. However to start the process you must need general IELTS score( Pref L 8, RWS 7) and Education documents assessed by WES or others.

Just to clarify the eligible IELTS scores for applicants under the skill type A which seems to be the case in question is CLB 7(IELTS 6.0) in every band.

CLB 7 makes you eligible to apply in EE . However , to become competant in CRS score and to receive Invitation for PR , you need CLB9

Yes I do see your point that the scores you have listed would place you in a better position to obtain an invitation. However you can still receive an ITA with the minimum scores once other sections of your profile have received high scores. Nonetheless, the higher you aim the better.
