You are welcome Kabayan. I guess you are also applying for a canadian visa? How's the application so far?

My timeline is in my signature below. Just planning the exit and landing, looking at best strategies financially.

What's your stream?

Wow. I just checked. I am happy that your visa is already approved. I am also FSW. Got my ITA yesterday, and I hope to finish all the documentation in a month. Do you have any piece of advice for me?

I take it you're doing this without a consultant like my husband and I did? Good on you. It's not for everyone to hoof it out on your own without an immigration specialist, but it saves you a lot of money if you can handle the stress.

1. Make sure you include your diploma/transcript of records in your education documents. They still look for it even if you submit the ECA.
2. Make sure your passport is valid until 12 months after your prospective date of PPR (passport request).
3. Once you submit your application and get your AOR (acknowledgement of receipt email), try following the threads here made for the month of your AOR.
4. Plan financially. My husband and I have been gradually buying CAD whenever the rates are good since the ITA.

Enjoy the ride! It can be stressful to see people getting approved faster than you, but keep positive since there are so many factors that determine your processing time (doc verification, background checks, local visa office manpower, etc). I got by because the people in the thread for FSW-O April to May 2017 were very supportive of each other even if we came from so many countries. Even made new friends!

Wow, I'm very chatty today. LOL.

Forgot to add:
One thing we did with our Proof of funds (POF): since we were submitting multiple bank accounts to show enough liquid funds (combination of personal accounts under my husbands name and my name and our joint account), we included a table of contents as the first page of our POF .pdf file for convenience of the visa officers. :)

We also googled our names to "background check" ourselves, social media and work-wise. LOL Happy to know nothing derogatory was online...

You might want to do the same.

Thank you so much. Great help. I haven't really thought about that.
