Hello, hope you got your ppr.Haha, my impatience stems from the fact that I've already had this thing declined once and this is my second application, so anything can happen
Hi, I had some issues with the work experience gained during the time between my off-campus work permit expiring and my post grad work permit being issued.Hello, hope you got your ppr.
at what stage of application processing was your first application got rejected? Did you pay rprf for the rejected first application at the time of filing eAPR or later?
What was the reason?
Thnks for your time
Congratulations and wish you all the bestHi, I had some issues with the work experience gained during the time between my off-campus work permit expiring and my post grad work permit being issued.
Anyways, I got my PPR on the 14th July, sent in the passport on the same day, the passport was then received by the embassy on the 17th and have not heard back from them since. The VFS tracking site says that the application is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, PRETORIA. I tried calling VFS and they said that the processing time is 10-20 working days, today is the 15th day. Hopefully there aren't any issues and this thing is done and stamped asap!

Hi, yes, I'm in SA, sent the passport to Pretoria. I've been told that their immigration section is backlogged and that you should expect the passport stamping to take around 3 weeksWhere are you located? In SA?I am in Botswana?how to send passport to Pretoria Cvo
What validity of passport was asked for 6 months or 1yearHi, yes, I'm in SA, sent the passport to Pretoria. I've been told that their immigration section is backlogged and that you should expect the passport stamping to take around 3 weeks
Hi, nothing was specified, but I'd imagine that 6 month validity will be fine (You'd just have to enter Canada before the passport expires)Thanks

Hi! When you say "one more pass of eligibility" what does that mean? What are they checking for? Also, with regard to working for the government, does anyone know why that would prompt more checks?Depends... can be a few days to several months!
You see, RFPR just means you've passed R10 and the first pass of Eligibility (A11.2) and your file has been transferred to LVO... After this you need one more pass of eligibility at you LVO and wait for the security checks to complete. Only then you'll be ready for PPR.
No one knows how long your security checks will take as this often depends on:
- Travel history (the more travel the longer)
- Government employment (this means more in-depth checks)
- Military History and/or working for the police (again more detail checks)
