Ok guys lets keep each other updated,i have someone i know in alberta,not too close but an still not sure if its ok to land in toronto and write down his address eventhough some members said its completely fine,still want to decide which option is better for me

Initial contract is for 3 months $120. Mail forwarding charges extra.
1 month notice before terminating the service.

This is all i remember. It is better to call the UPS Store rather than waiting for a reply to the email.

Its a long shot but Is it possible to get a one box with 4 to 5 names on It with each of us having a forward address?

Seems unlikely but we can try.

I do have my cousin in Alberta but let's see if we can find something about these boxes first

I think you should rather go with the friend address instead of UPS provided that friend is reliable and has a residence. At least that's what I would prefer.

I don't think it should be. Also do not emphasize on it at the port of entry. Answer only if you are asked about it by the immig officer.

Did anyone successfully rent a mailbox by mail or phone? Please share your experiences. We are planning to land in the first week of October, stay for a few days and then return to the US.

I spoke to a UPS Store a week ago and they mailed me an application form which i need to fill-up along with 2 Photo ID Proof and Photo Copy of Credit/Debit card (front and back). I am skeptical on giving my credit card info.

The staff in that store told me that it is legal to receive the PR Card (initial PR Card alone) in the mailbox/third party. He may be trying to get a business from me.

So, someone who has received the PR Card through this approach could shed some light on this.

This is my 2 cents..I think the reason they are asking you for the credit card info is because if you do not collect your card in the rented time they will have to send it to you at another address which will be an additional cost or even keep it for a longer time. This is a govt document which cannot be discarded so they will have to send it to you even if it is an international address.

I read it takes around 60 days to get PR card mailed to you. Is this period from the date you apply for the card(landing day) or after you provide them an address which I plan to update later?
