Hello All,

I completed my master's degree in country ABC, however the degree was awarded by a university in country XYZ. My ECA report also states country XYZ. I am confused how i should put this in my address history as I was a resident of country ABC during that time and have visas and exit/entry stamps on my passport for the same.

Please help.

You were living in country ABC so add country ABC in the address history.
Thanks for your response.

Would there not be a problem if there is a discrepancy between education and address history? all of this combined shows up in personal history. Would it be a reason for rejection?

Was this a distance learning program? it'd be nice to know the circumstances of your studies in order to give a proper response.

Actually this university has few international centers in different countries, and I did it in one of them. It's a full time course of two years. Neither my degree nor any marks cards have the name or any mention of the course being done outside the country.

I would list both countries in the address history then. Pretty straight forward.
Which is what i have done actually, because I have shuttled between both countries over the years. However, my concern was stating in address history that i lived in one country while pursuing a degree (issued) in another country at the same time. Will that raise any red flags?

That you can explain in the LOE. If the university has a web page that lists the locations, that would also help a lot.
