Hi Everyone,

I am about to apply for ITA and wanted to confirm a the accetability of my experience letter based on some of your exepriences. This is the final one I would get from the firm, so if apply with this experience (for which I will egt more points) and the authorities don't accept it, I will be in a soup.

I have gotten the attached letter from them, but am a bit worried because,
1. It doesn't track my starting role as a Software Engineer in 2008 and only talks about role when leaving - Senior Sofwtare Engineer. Both fall into same Software Engineer NOC, but wanted to know any tips/risks associated with applying with this.
2. It doesn't have contact details fo the person who signed.

It will be great if you can let me know of your experience with using such a letter and whether these two issues would be a problem. Since my recent experience is only 2 years, I am banking on the IBM experience to give full points.

Please let me know!

Thanks

Pre-Assessed..
Your reference letter is fine, just make sure you provide proof that you were paid as it fails to mention your salary.

I didn't think of the salary - thansk for that!

The best proofs I have are two pay stubs (Aug and Sep 2011) and a salary hike letter from July 2011. My last day of work was May 2012.

I know it is not easy to answer specific questions like these, but will this proof suffice?

@concept If I may ask, from 2012 till date, you do not have any relevant NOC experience is it??
I have experience of 2+ years - from July 2015 - in my current job. But here are the Pros and Cons of using it.

Pros
1. It is current and I earn a much higher salary this being in the USA
2. I would look like much better candidate subjectively in immigration's eyes
3. I have an experience letter from 2016 stating job responsibilities and salary. And can get pay stubs to prove continuing employment.

Cons
1. It may be difficult to get a letter from current job as it would carry job security issues. I may trick them though and get it with a ruse though.
2. It is only 2 years, so i would get points of 451 vs 476 if I use older job for NOC
3. its a different NOC from older job

I can't answer that, it is up to IRCC to decide to contact your employer to verify your work experience and/or to request further proof from you.
