Hii All

On August 2nd, 2017 we got the ITA. Our CRS score is 446 and we DONOT have any provincial nomination.

After receiving the ITA we have filled all the fields but I am confused about the question in the section Application/Profile Details -> Provinces and territories of interest -> In which province or territory does intend to reside?

Does the time taken in granting a PR by Canadian Government depends upon the province and city being selected.

I will really appreciate if anyone can answer me on this.

Thanks

No, processing time is not affected.
Answering this question will however affect which provinces might send you an invitation to apply as a provincial nominee. So, if you select ( All provinces and territories) you might get invited from any province. If you select for example ontario, then you might get ontario's invitation but you will not get one from any other province.

Keep in mind that selecting (All) might also mean that a province can decide you do not fit their criteria simply because you didnt show a specific interest in them, but thats rare.
Hope that made it clear.
Good luck

Dr Feras.. thanks for the reply...These is a slight disconnect between us. Let me try to make it more clear

While filing the Express Entry form I also had selected All Provinces (as you just mentioned) but now the situation is a bit different. Now I have the ITA, and I am again being asked to choose a Province of Interest while filing the PR application form.

And above all this time the drop down does not have the option to select All Provinces.

Hope you understand my concern.

thanks a lot for your time and effort.. :)

I don't think the processing time for your PR application gets affected positively or negatively based on the province you select.

Good luck.

Ok I see, so you already have your ITA which is great. Thats better than provincial nomination at the moment as its faster so you are good. So now it doesnt matter just pick whatever province you are planning on going to. No difference at all. You can pick any province except Quebec.
Good luck

hi folks. apologies for a redundant question but just for my peace of mind :)
I too selected BC since i didn't have any preference back then. But now have landed up with a job in the Toronto area and planning to move next month. Mine is a Federal Skilled app with SW1 on COPR. Hope I don't have to worry about any limitations on where I settle as long as its not Quebec.

Thanks a lot
