OINP UPDATE FROM ONTARIO IMMIGRATION

I am applying through masters stream. Could you please let me know what is this 400 score requirement ? I dont find any points system there. Also, for how long IELTS score is valid if you are applying through OINP masters stream ? I think, it is 2 years. Am I right ?

No points system.

I think IELTS is valid for 1 years.

That's right, just that OINP only recommends in the application guide it to have been taken in the last 1 year, perhaps because they are taking so long to process nominations, unfortunately.

The federal government determines the maximum number of nominations Ontario can award annually. Each year, there are about 300,000 immigrants that come to Canada. Of these, Ontario is allowed to select 5,500 through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) in 2016.

5,500 includes for international students, masters stream, and Skilled worker category too. I wanted to know many many applications OINP accepts for international students each year.

I think it will remain the same for master provinces and french. But the rest will change due to EE modifications.

How many months will it take to get the PR once you are able to link your application online (CIC)? In my case, I am able to link my application online and I have my application number as well. I am applying through PNP.

I have a Notification of Interest issued early June. Has OINP just stopped issuing new Notifications or did it halt its OINP completely for the time being?

How long does it take to get PR once medical is approved ? My medical was approved yesterday so just checking how long will it take now. Applied PR through Provincial Nominee Program.
