NOC rejection. Anyone?

this is what written on CIC in my NOC. As not ALL occupations are mentioned, then I assume not all duties are listed there, right?
Is it correct to assume that though I dont see duties that match to my job title, it does not necessarily mean that the NOC is wrong?

well, that is what i am afraid of. The fact is that I found exactly the job title in NOC 5226 (i didnt match that, its just exactly mine), but i cant see the duties mentioned for my job title, the only duties mentioned under my NOC are of those who do the technical job... does it mean that i chose the wrong NOC? then why all those coordinating (non-technical) job titles are even mentioned there???

Your noc is a vague one. You could pick out duties from each of the "examples" and get the general feel for that noc.

I wanted to know with just couple of lines of job duties how would the case officer verify my NOC. Will this be a problem?.

Yes I do. I think it fits with NOC code 2134 for Chemical Engineers which I have mentioned in my e-APR. I have already submitted my application last week. Is there any thing that I can do.

Not really. If they doubt your experience you should get a fairness letter. You can then submit more documents proving you worked that NOC. As your NOC is vague I wouldn't worry at this stage.

Do you mean to say that if they doubt whether my experience falls under the NOC that I specified they would send me a fairness letter?. I would like to know what this fairness letter would ask then (if ever it is asked). Will they reject my application because of lack of clarity about job duties with respect to NOC in my reference letter?.

What is the significance of primary NOC?

My total work experience is 5.5 years [3 years in NOC X and 2.5 years (including current) in NOC Y]. I am bit confused here - I have chosen NOC Y as primary NOC and just wondering if I should have chosen NOC X as that experience had 3 years of work ex?

Can someone please advise if I should change this post ITA before submitting documents?

I have the same problem as many above on this thread my duties dont fall under any NOC being a quality engineer as it is part of various NOCs. When contacted HRSDC everytime I ask them they give me a different NOC so that tells me they are confused also. Now what that means for me is duties dont match exactly not even 20%. So I dont know what to do.

may I ask you how did you contact HRSDC? I wrote them yesterday, but they replied with a standard automatic way saying that they do not help identifying NOCs

Hello all,

As i can see there are lots of issues regarding noc selection and all that. I am going to submit my e-apr by next week in noc 2131 as civil engineer. Having more than 4 years of experience.

I have a single question that for two years i was at construction sites and after that i moved to office working as an estimation engineer with roles and responsibilites similar to construction estimators noc 2234

My question is, under noc 2131-civil engineer it is covering both the r & r but noc 2234 is not covering 2131.
My contract with the company, salary, designation everything is as per 2131.

I have written a reference letter under 2131 by combining r & r of both you can say 50% for each and get it signed with 2 project managers. Everything is as per what i have done and what i am dong currently.

Can som1 please advise whats i have done is ok? I will appreciate a feedback.

Same here. I also got an email today saying that they don't identify NOCs. where else do u think we can get this sorted?

Hey guys, I have a doubt regarding the roles and responsibilities mentioned in my NOC.

My NOC description is given as follows:-

Main duties

• Financial analysts perform some or all of the following duties:
  • Evaluate financial risk, prepare financial forecasts, financing scenarios and other documents concerning capital management, and write reports and recommendations

Now I would like to say that the reference letter that I have submitted, has all the duties as mentioned in the LEAD STATEMENT of the above NOC.
But when it comes to the "MAIN DUTIES",
I have all the duties mentioned for an Investment Analyst and dont have any duties as mentioned for Financial Analyst as my job roles were more closely related to Investment analyst only and not the Financial analyst.


So my question is, will my reference letter will be cleared as it only meets the Investment Analyst criteria and NOT the Financial Analyst criteria as listed?

Its better if you mail the IRCC about the roles you have been under. They would be in a better position to resolve the conundrum your facing. Good luck.
