Hey guys,

I don't want to sound impatient. But if we are to order GCMS notes on our application, what date would be ideal? Should I wait till end of August or September? Please advise.

I hopefully get a dm before that but incase....

Thanks!
What is GCMS?

Hi Im sponsoring my husband and he got this email sent. Our application was received April 27th, processing started May 25th

Good day,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Since we know that sponsoring or being sponsored is an important event in your life, we want to ensure that you have all the information and tools at your disposal to make this process as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We are pleased to confirm the reception of the Schedule A - Background/Declaration Form (IMM 5669) and police certificate. We have forwarded them to the responsible office for their consideration.
If further information is needed during the processing of your application, the responsible office may contact you.

Does this mean its been transferred to the VO or VIO, forgive me I dont understand the terms lol
No, it doesn't mean that your visa office has got it. It means IRCC looked at your documents and finally they will be uploaded to your application.

I don't think thats what it means. Notice it says WE HAVE FORWARDED. Not uploaded and attached.

Hey guys is there a thread on preparing for your spouse's landing, and helping them settle nicely here. That will give me something to do while I wait impatiently haha

It says 'forwarded' but the interpretation here is different. It isn't as in your application has been forwarded to the Outland VO but rather that the additional documents you sent have been received (at a department that takes in all the mail and verifies them before distribution to proper locations) and now have been fowarded to the proper department/office (still in Mississauga, where your application is) for them to review and attach them to your application.

Can someone confirm how to quickly reach an agent when calling IRCC?

I'm calling +1 (613) 944-4000, and there's SUCH a long process to get to "to talk to an agent". I have to enter my application number, year of birth, listen to a long rehashing of GC Key messages about "your background check has not started", and finally "we cannot link you to an agent due to a high number of calls."

Like @kcward7 said that is ECAS. This means your file was transferred your VO before May 25th. Your timeline is faster than ours, because our AOR2 is May 31st and CIC received our application on April 06. its a good thing :) hopefully DM soon :)
I am not sure if my understanding on the 3rd bullet for Sposor side is right that it means they have started the process for sponsor eligibility on that date not the process for the PA side. Can anybody clarify pls. Thanks!

Happy Friday

a week ago we have received a request to replace Sched A (via GCKey account) - apparently something went wrong with the previous version of the document so we did replace it and yesterday I got an email stating that my spouse's file has been transferred to a Visa Office in Warsaw. At least something (April 28th applicant here). PA's ECAS status changed to "In Process", no other updates.

Slowly but surely:)
It's good that you received a request to resend it. We are March applicant and we didnt recvd anything and when I call Aug 2 agent said app sitting in Mississauga still and was advised to just resend the docs via mail to make sure. Been waiting all along for nothing. Hoping it will changed once they recvd the docs.

Hi everyone, so I just learned today that the sponsor can also sign into ECAS using their own UCI lol :p
If you don't mind me asking, for those that have already received their AOR2... what does the sponsor's ECAS look like???

I tried it myself, ECAS didn't find my info

Finally got the third line today (VO is London). April 13th, 2017 applicant.

We started processing <applicant's name> application on August 3, 2017.

It'll look something like that:
  1. We received your application to sponsor <Applicant's name> on Month date, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Month date, 2017.
  3. We started processing your application on Month date, 2017.
When filling it the information go with the application number and then put in Sponsor's details.
