Hello Guys,
Sorry for creating a new thread as I could not get any concrete answers to my queries. My file was at CIO Sydney and then got transferred to NDVO a week or so ago, so I wanted to know:

1. What is processed at NDVO (I have passed medicals and criminality)? My knowledge is that the case analyst has done initial review and now visa officer at the visa office makes the final decision.
2. Does file transfer to local VO means they require local verification? if so than I need to ask my employer to get ready for a call.
3. What is the approximate time for completing the assessment once the file reaches NDVO (if anyone has previous experience)?

Thanking you all good people.
Cheers.

1. What is processed at NDVO (I have passed medicals and criminality)? My knowledge is that the case analyst has done initial review and now visa officer at the visa office makes the final decision. Your knowledge is correct all checks are done once at CIO, the VO checks them again at LVO and finalises and approves the file.
2. Does file transfer to local VO means they require local verification? if so than I need to ask my employer to get ready for a call. File transfer is standard procedure, it does not mean they require local verification. But nevetheless NDVO is known to make verification calls sometimes, ask your employer to be prepared in case, its more of a random quality check.
3. What is the approximate time for completing the assessment once the file reaches NDVO (if anyone has previous experience)? As per my knowledge NDVO takes minimum 15-40 days.

Thanking you all good people.
Cheers.

Thank you for your reply.

I heard from someone in the forum that sometimes even when the eligibility is passed from CIO the local visa office again checks the eligibility (like from the beginning). Doesn't it seem illogical and time consuming?

Thank you

Yes he does it if he finds something not pleasing him. They obviously have deadline but they would not proceed with any file at speed if they finds something fishy.
So be calm and keep your fingers crossed.
And still in doubt then order notes

Yep they do, it is standard procedure to ensure quality, most Visa Officer will follow the case analyst recommendation, there are always exceptions though. it takes only few hours for them to do so, so it does not matters much.

I am in NA since 2 months now and I believe the officer at NDVO has not touched my file. Its a long wait as per the current trends at NDVO. Sorry to dishearten you.
