I am Dec 2016 applicant, I sent them an email about status and expediting the process or if they need any extra documents. I am just surprised they have not conducted the initial review, some people are getting DM in 2-4 months.

Well, it's not bad luck, its just that NXR has some issues in working for good lo. He is my VO too and can you believe he replied me the same after 8 months of my case? I'm Oct'16 applicant and I got the same "initial review awaiting" reply till July 16th and now remedical. So yeah, we are all in the same boat here!

Can you plz share where in notes should i check to see the interview group name etc? I want to see if our field is empty or we have an interview as well

First page, 15th or 16th line item which should read "Group name" and "Group number".

If it's blank or says "not required", you're good.
If it says "Interview re'd" Or there is a group number assigned, then you're in the queue to be interviewed.

I would encourage everyone to involve MP. In my notes it shows that MP office contacted for updates twice. At least it should have some good effect on case that Sponsor is eager to have his spouse's visa processed fast. And it is free to contact Mp so we have nothing to lose

You can only involve MP if its past processing time, which is 12 months. Most MPs are turning people away because of the reforms made in Dec.

Even then, the MPs will say that your case is non-routine or it's still under review and won't provide much help. Speaking from experience.

My MP called to CPC Mississauga and they told that my file is in Mississauga and they will transferred to LVO soon. My file is completed and nothing they required. But I am still thinking if everything is completed then why still in Mississauga.

Thats right. See if a new table is there for counterfile/document number. Also keep tracking the pp through VFS website. Good luck.

received re-medical request yesterday. My medical's expiry is on 3rd September. Does this mean they are going to get my case done anytime soon? It's been 9 months already :/
