10 M bro...its the only exception because of that full scan...furthermore there are tools on the internet that can help you decrease the size if you are in real need for that .
Thanks but I didn't understand properly. You mean 10 dpi?

Regarding online file size reducer, yes, I have also kept it as last resort as I don't want to compromise quality.

10 MB PDF file for passport only ...all other documents are half this size...

How much should be the ideal DPI while scanning documents for OINP? I am particularly worried about scanning my whole passport as it is making file size more that 5 MB (using 300 dpi).
Try 200 dpi then 100 if you do not get the desired file size. I myself scanned my whole passport 4 times due to larger file size! :)

Really! Wow, this is good! I didn't know as guideline says 5 MB. However, guideline states that passport can be split into two documents. So this referred 5+5? Hmm! Thanks bro!

For OINP application ... main applicant's passport scan can go up to 10M in one file ....as its includes a full paper Scan...

Hi Anwar,
Thanks to create this thread. I just started my PR process without agent.
I already sent my documents to ECA for degree evaluation and gave IELTS exam on 29th July. I have 11 yrs of experience in IT field with NOC code 2173 or 2174. I have below few queries, If you can help me for my understanding:

1) As a first step, after ECA and IELTS result, I have to create profile in express entry. Here I don't think so I will get more than 350 point considering 35 yrs of age and IELTS score 6 band in each section with marital status. Here, Suppose, I create my profile with 350 points and Ontario picked my application then they will send me NOI. Right? Then with in 14 days, I have to submitt my application.

Here, I have submitt application direct to Ontario site or in EE.
Over you tube, lof of people mentioned something Expression of Interest (EOI). I am not able to understand when EOI will come into the picture.
For, PNP program, all states will pick application from EE and will send NOIor I have to apply create profile in each state separately along with EE.

If you can guide me on this process will be really helpful.

Thanks and Regards
Amit
1) How old exactly are you? I am 34 years old with Bachelor's degree and sitting at 408 with CLB 9 (should be 414 if CLB10). For your age, you will get higher CRS if you have Master's degree plus IELTS and ECA for your spouse.

2) For PNP, check the different provinces for the different streams that are open. Unlike OINP that sends NOI to the candidates from the EE pool, most of the provinces are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are usually employer-driven, so you have to check their websites regularly. They do not even post when are they going to open. And when they do open, it will only be open for a few hours. These are some of the PNPs I know:
  • SINP - they have EE-based and paper-based applications, but for your NOC, they recently removed 2171 and other IT NOCs. You need to create a profile on the Oasis website.
  • MPNP - you need to create an EOI on their website and they conduct draws just like the EE. You get more points if you have relatives in Manitoba
  • NS Category B - they opened recently, there are some IT NOCs in-demand in Nova Scotia
  • AIPP - for the provinces NS, NB, PEI; employer-driven. You need to attend info session held in different countries. For NB, C#/.Net programmers are invited in the Vienna info session. Check the schedule here:
  • BCPNP, AINP - employer-driven or if you have studied in BC or AB
  • Quebec - IT is in demand in Quebec, French language is not mandatory. Mon Projet Quebec is in French language but you can use Google translate. I also have a profile here. First-come, first-serve, processing takes ages (2-3 years?)
I did not elaborate more on the acronyms since I expect (from your NOC) you have all the resources to know about those provincial nomination programs.

Good luck.
