Hello all,

I was putting my profile yesterday and I received the message that my profile was rejected.

I reviewed the CIC site and it indicated that it was possible for me to apply, however when I actually applied it rejected me. I do not know if my profile is not good or if potentially I made a mistake. According to some sites that I have reviewed, my profile has 409 points.

Any help is appreciated.
My profile for Federal Skilled worker is:
  • IELTS (24 points)
    • 8.5 for listening
    • 8.5 for reading
    • 7.5 for writing
    • 8.5 for speaking
  • I have a diploma equivalent to a masters degree (23 points)
  • Over 6 years of experience in the last 10 years with NOC 0213 (15 points)
  • No Canadian experience or relatives living in Canada (0 points)
  • Married (No additional points for my wife) (0 points)
  • 38 years of age (9 points)
  • Have over CAD25,000, which is the requirement for my family
  • No job offer (0 points)
Total: 71
Thanks for the help

As per your credentials you should be well above 450 points
Also just curious, how can a diploma be equivalent to Masters ?

Thanks for your reply.

According to the CIC site, it is 409 points (They changed on June the points system)

The results I received are shown below.
Comprehensive Ranking System formula
Subtotal Core/Human capital + Spouse factors + Skill transferability = 409

Provincial nomination = 0

Job offer = 0

Study in Canada = 0

Sibling in Canada = 0

French-language skills = 0

Subtotal Additional points = 0

Grand total = 409

I have a diploma from my business school for an MBA. That is what I mean that my diploma (master's) is equivalent to a master's degree in Canada.

If anybody else can help, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again for your help shagunsangwan

Pre-Assessed..
When did you take your IETLS test?
Have you had your masters degree assessed?
How many family members do you have?
What is the exact amount that you stated in the "how many funds you'll bring to Canada" question?
