Going by all your timelines, it's obvious that compared to Ottawa, CIO sydney is slow. @Wolverine17, nationality does play in security checks. Look at the brighter side, you have passed eligibility. There is no way you will get rejected now...you just have to wait it out and I am sure it will happen this week or next!

As for us CIO sydney folks...Our eligibility isn't done yet...so we can only hope that we will go to IP2 in the next 2 weeks or so...

Sydney is in a coma. I think we all just need to wait till we are shipped off somewhere else. I think only then we will get traction on our file. June AOR is picking up real pace. But then April and May files are stuck in Sydney. No logic in the way CIC works

Hi everyone,
I have a question that is bothering us a lot. My dependent daughter's passport expires in February 2018. If suppose we get PPR anytime in the coming three months, should we renew her passport and then send it for visa stamping? Because of her schooling we will go for the first time in March 2018 to Canada , God willing.
Or is it possible to renew passport after visa stamping like in December or January.

My PPR specifically states:
"Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months from the date of this letter. "

I would renew her passport but send both the old one (that you submitted with the ITA documents) and the new one bundled together for stamping.

Yes, my VO is Ottawa. I was sitting on Medical Passed/NA and RPRF paid when I sent them a note yesterday. In 8 hours, I got a response saying the application has been approved. By then the BCG status changed from NA to IP2. I'm yet to receive the PPR though, desperately waiting for the diamond email, hope this weekend brings joy

Did they request rprf? Or u paid withkut request?

That's normal. In a few days (3-4), if all goes well, your file shoul be approved (both the cases). I'm talking about VO Ottawa here.
