Hi,
I knew someone who's been here for 1 1/2 year undocumented, she applied for a humanitarian compassionate and according to her immigration ask her to have an appointment with them regarding her status, and she used that opportunity to ask immigration to hold her departure order till the result of her humanitarian comes out and according to her immigration officer allowed her to do that.
I'm just confused like immigration will do that for her even she betrayed our system by staying in Canada without any status for a certain period of time already?

Yes - that would be pretty standard if she has an H&C application in progress.

So since she was allowed to stay and wait for the decission meaning there is a big chance that her application be approved? Usually how long will it take for a Humanitarian Application be in process?

It doesn't necessarily mean she's approved. It just means they're going to wait until a decision is made.

Processing for H&C can often take two years.

But the problem is, she's using that opportunity to work and be paid in cash which we all know it's illegal because in the first place she's not paying her taxes and it's really againts the law of Canada.
