Dutch police certificate translation?

Does anyone have any recent experience providing a Dutch police certificate for FSW-outland?

I have received my e-AOR and now I got a request for the Dutch police certificate (I need a letter from them to be able to request it). It clearly states on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/europe/netherlands.asp

"The Certificate of Good Conduct is issued in Dutch with a portion translated in English at the bottom. It is not necessary to have it translated."

However, in the request I received it states:

"If the documents are not already in English or French, all documents must be accompanied by English or French translations by certified translators. When original documents are requested, you must upload the original documents to MyCIC. We do not accept copies signed by notaries."

So, am just wondering if this is going to be a problem. Should I include a page in my PDF that clearly states I did not translate the document because their guidelines says so?

I did submit my application without the translation, and received a request today to submit the translation after all.

It seemed weird as about 95% of the content on the certificate includes a translation, plus the guidelines tell you not to translate it.

So if I were you, just get it translated so it won't hold up your application somewhere in the process.

I guess the person handling your case had little or no experience handling Dutch PCCs.

I would point him/her to IRCC's own webpage if I were you.

I added the following letter to my police certificate PDF, might be useful to someone:

Dear madam/sir,

Please find enclosed a copy of my Certificate of Conduct (<document number>) from the Netherlands issued on <date>. In the request letter I received in my online application (<application number>), it states that I require a certified translation of the document. However, as per the Canada Immigration and Citizenship website,

"The Certificate of Good Conduct is issued in Dutch with a portion translated in English at the bottom. It is not necessary to have it translated."

Found on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/europe/netherlands.asp

Therefore, in accordance with the CIC website, I have not enclosed a translation. Should a translation be necessary to proceed, please inform me immediately.

Also, while uploading the certificate in my application, the form asks for an expiry date, however there is no expiry date on the document. As there was no option to select 'not applicable' on the form, I have just filled in one year from the issue date.

Hello @immigrate87,

As clearly stated on the IRCC website, indeed, you don't need to translate a Dutch Certificate of Good conduct as long as it contains the English explanation.
I received also an ADR and am currently waiting for my Dutch PCC.

No, I am a Dutch citizen and I live in the Netherlands, so I just went to the Population Affairs Department of my municipality and handed in the form and letter from CIC. Took about 10 days before I got mine per (physical) mail.

I sent my request for Dutch Certificate of conduct per email to "Justis" on July 28.
They shipped the document to Germany on August 2, and I received it today, August 8. Pretty easy and fast process!

Hi, did they accept you certificate without the official translation after you sent them this email pointing out that they say in their own website that is not necessary? They just asked me to get an official translation even though my Dutch certificate is translated to English at the bottom of the page. I wonder if I should explain this to them as you did or just don’t lose my time and get the translation.
I would appreciate if you could answer me ASAP!

So you simply got a translation done by certified translators in Canada? (I'm in same situation. Wondering if I really have to translate the Dutch PCC)

Hi. The letter is a brilliant idea. Did it work? Did they insist on a translation? I'd like to know as I'm in same position and would like to adopt your letter if it worked.
