A question on POF / spouse depositing money into primary applicant account

Hi all :) back again here with a question that left me scratching my head a bit..

Q) POF: For providing proof of funds, I am the main applicant, and currently I have half of the amount needed for POF. My husband has the rest. He is going to transfer this amount to my savings account now. Do I need to show his bank statements or letter from his bank? Or shouldn't I only provide the bank letter for myself -- the primary applicant? I think I will probably need to explain how this big-ish amount came about, so is it enough that it shows it was transferred from my spouse's account? Will I need to explain more? Or provide a gift deed or letter of explanation / affidavit from him (he is accompanying me)? Has anyone gone through the same?

P.s. I don't want to present his bank letter, and get NOC for using his funds, I already got the deposit from him as we prefer to use one account.

Thanks

I suppose Proof of Funds from BOTH (Main Applicant + Dependent) are acceptable from their respective accounts. No need to transfer !! as long as the threshold is met but both applicants jointly, it will be acceptable. Just get Bank Account Statement for last 6 months. Also mention since when the account was opened / operating, Account number along with Stamp and Signature of Bank Official on the statement

Thanks for the replies but ideally I prefer not to share spouse's bank statement/letter as it shows irregular commission deposits that are hard to explain. So my question was do I need to present a LOE or Gift deed /NOC if the transferred deposit to my account is from my accompanying spouse's account?

Thanks
