I just received confirmation that CIC received proof of my relationship and has attached it to my application EXACTLY one month to the day which I submitted it. Sweet relief Here's the message I got:

Yes I have seen them permit visitor Visas based on friends (boyfriend/girlfriend relations)... It's how my wife was granted hers.

That said, her first entry she will be examined with more scrutiny. So, not coming into Canada before marriage can carry risk with it. She will have to declare the change in relation when she arrives in Canada.

That's why I asked about marrying here.. so if you want to avoid any risk, I would marry here first, apply for PR, and you can marry again in India after it's granted. This also means you don't have to translate your marriage certificate.

Guarantee... no. But with AIP, they are satisfied that your relationship is genuine. Then they need to confirm that your heath is not dangerous for public safety and that your security checks are clean. So no absolute guarantee, but you can agree that it's almost guaranteed. After AIP, it's just a matter of time before you get DM.

No, it doesn't. But there is a very good probability that the PA will pass the second stage -- as long as their life wasn't too "interesting"...

Quite good actually. Yesterday my mom was coming to visit, today will be my father and an uncle, so that's why I'm a bit less present here. We also have quite a nice weather this weekend in Quebec city. It's dryer than normal (at least my feeling, I didn't check actual numbers) so it's not too hot, it's quite perfect to do outdoors activities. We will go few hours to the montmorency waterfall park this afternoon.

And you? I hope you, Mrs Profiler and little genius mini Profiler are all good!

We are heating up here.. sans rain and cloud. Nothing but electric-blue sky, zero clouds for as far as I can see. Supposed to hit 30 today or tomorrow... In Ontario-speak, it will feel like high 30's. But, it is still July.

Yeah, you need to have your record of employment, you take that to Service Canada and tell them you need to file.

How many pages were you able to fit in web form's 3.5mb limit ?? I have a lot of pages.

I am curious to know about kokopelli as they sent 66 pages via CSE. Maybe there is a trick I am unaware of

Well, no, they expect you have some for of severance, so that would mean that you have a couple weeks to pad you before EI will start (it will take 3-4 weeks)
