Please! I need help with understanding my application refusal

Hello everyone,

I'm a Syrian student living in Germany on a student permit. I have applied for a Canadian student visa in Germany 10 days ago. I have received a full scholarship to study in Canada with an admission to an MBA program and followed the instruction in the online application system carefully.

It would be great if someone helps me understand the rejection reasons as stated by the visa issuing officer:

**You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:
1- travel history
2- immigration status in country of residence
3- family ties in Canada and in country of residence
4- length of proposed stay in Canada
5- current employment situation
6- personal assets and financial status.

**Other reasons:
- No evidence of legal status in your current country of residence.

Regarding the evidence of legal status in Canada, I can provide my residence permit with the second application including my old passport which has the stamps that prove that I entered Germany legally (I didn't provide my residence permit and my old passport in my first application because they didn't even ask for them).

As for the other reasons, I can't understand what do they mean. If you guys have any idea how to address these reasons please let me know, because I'm planning on applying again next week and I will lose my scholarship if I didn't get a visa in August. Thank you very much in advance.

Did you provide any evidence of your own funds? If not - you need to. Although you are on full scholarship - you still need to demonstrate at least some proof of funds on your own to show how you will pay to travel to Canada, etc.

What evidence did you show of ties to your home country? One of the issues with your application is that you're not living in your home country and don't have permanent status in Germany. As a result, CIC is concerned you have plans on remaining in Canada long term (especially given the current situation in Syria). What can you show for ties to Syria to prove you will return there once your studies in Canada have been completed? Do you have any family ties there? If so - show proof.

Thank you very much for the helpful reply. As a proof of my own funds, I provided a bank statement in Germany with about 2500€, Other than that, I really don't have any funds other than emergency funds from my parents in case I need any.

My whole family lives in Syria and I'm not planning on spending my life living away from them, but how can I prove that? I can't see any way to prove it. Another tie to my country is that I used to work in a major auditing firm in Syria and I have an agreement with them to return back to the firm after I finish studying abroad, but this agreement is not written on paper, it's just through personal contact with the firms managers.

1. Letters from family saying they expect me to come back to look after them (I didn't use them but included it in my SOP that they're expecting me back)
2. Good SOP on how I really want to come back & take up a job in my home country
3. Job listings in my home country indicating why I need this course

In your case, if you could get a written letter from you ex company, that would be great for visa purposes.

2. Good SOP on how I really want to come back & take up a job in my home country
3. Job listings in my home country indicating why I need this course

In your case, if you could get a written letter from you ex company, that would be great for visa purposes.

Thank you very much for your answer, and sorry for the late reply, I just saw this.

I did mention in my SOP that my family is waiting for me to come back and support them in Syria, and also that my ex firm is encouraging me to rejoin them after I finish my MBA in Canada (included a manager in my ex firm as reference contact in my resume). I also mentioned several times how I want to contribute in the process of rebuilding my country and that I'm not giving up on it.

I got the first rejection after 9 days from applying online without an SOP. Now it has been 14 days since I applied on paper and still no answer, I'm really worried and concerned but hoping for the best.
