Hello house just to inform 'us' that I have received my Visa. I can't say how happy and grateful I am. Journey of almost 3 years has come to an end. Wanna thank Pipis, Blacky and Neyobash, you and you!

Pickup was quite an issue though. Had to inform Accra to send my Visa to their Berlin office and got it immediately.

For those waiting for completion, I believe God has a plan. This I saw during my wait. When medicals came it was at the most perfect time, as well as PPR.

Looking forward to other updates from 'us'

A big congratulations to you...it has ended in praise at last. God be praised.
Very happy for you blacky, congrats. It's been quite a journey but it ends in praise.

To God be the glory for all the wonderful testimonies.

I am not an exception on this testimonies galore.

My journey to Canada began in 2011. The application was not successful because it was poorly packaged. Sometimes when God is working for us, we don't know, we get impatient and even feel unlucky.

I chose to follow my dream again in 2014 and the shadows of the 2011 application actually chased me. I applied in August 2014, and got PER in December 2014. While August applicants received medical requests in June 2015, I received long additional requests much later in August 2015.
The requests was posted by my friend on this forum "Canadamyplace". It attracted lots of comments; mostly not encouraging. I was told to forget my Canada Dream by some that I called privately on this forum to explain my predicament to.
I chose to trust in God and follow my dreams. GCMS notes were ordered in twice in the pursuit and I realized that my identity was been probed. I was accused of been denied America visa and not reflected on Schedule A, whereas I was not, the parenthood of one of my dependent was in doubt, because she had a different birth certificate from others, et.c. I ensured to write to AVO to explain my side and my explanation was accepted.
With the assistance of a very good friend on a WhatsApp forum for FSW 2014, I moved on with faith and followed suit to do a upfront medicals and RPRF on April 19, 2017 and May 4, 2017 respectively.
Our passports were requested for visa issuance in May 10 2017, got our visas and COPR by May ending. Today we are preparing to move to Canada our Dream land by the favour of GOD.
Thank God for his mercies and making the journey fruitful.
Thanks to this forum and the wonderful people.

I must not forget to acknowledge Gentle Andrew for his kind words , though he/she might not remember me again.

God will grant all of us good testimonies as we trust in him.

Our landing story

We left Lagos on the 7th July via Lufthansa to Frankfurt and Air Canada from Frankfurt to Toronto . At Muritala Mohammed airport we had a almost seemless check in . We had 4 bottles of palm oil and the screening machine at the door detected 3 of the bottles which we gave to person who came with us all other food stuff came through . Then we went to check in 2 of our boxes was overweight while the rest were slightly underweight so we had to spread them out . Check in was pretty fast then our good byes to our friends . Went through immigration we filled we had less than $10,000 at Muritala and waited for our flight . While going through the secondary checking before boarding we were called over one of the suitcases and we guessed it was about the last bottle of palmoil we were right so no palmoil made the trip .
Lufthansa was seemless the kids did not really enjoy the kiddies meal but they drink all the juices available and eat enough of the cheese balls I brought and the entertainment on board was perfect they enjoyed themselves and slept virtually all through the flight
We arrived Frankfurt around 6 in the morning and had a 3 hour layover which went so fast . Then the flight to Toronto via Air Canada you are given the declaration card to fill on board even before they start serving the meal
Please please please if bringing foodstuffs declare it and also if bringing more than CAD10000 declare if your money is in USD remember that USD is higher than USD so do your calculations
The flight was alright kids eating all snacks and drinks as usual
Then we landed at Pearson Airport around 12 noon , immigration was seemless , we went to the line for visitors since we are still visitors we told the person who attending to us that we were here for our landing and we were directed to the immigrants side for landing formalities. We were through there within 30 minutes not a lot of people there then we went to pick up our boxes , on getting there we collected the 8 boxes but noticed that one of the boxes had a green sticker on it for secondary checking so we were directed to the customs . When we got there we were told to open the box with the secondary sticker and asked what we had there . We told them what was there and it was checked apparently Killishi is not allowed in unless it's factory processes with the seal but because we declared what we had and also when asked before the box was opened answered truthfully all that was in the bag . The killishi was collected but all other foodstuff was allowed in . Also the checking was easy cause all food stuff I went with were all labeled on the ziploc bag so it was easy to verify . So we were free to go and even got cookies for the kids from the customs guys think they had a party or something .
So here is our landing story sorry if it's long o
Good day,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I will like to ask the following questions:
1. Were you at any point during the landing formalities asked how much you had on you?
2.If the funds are in a domiciliary account in a bank back in Nigeria and one has a debit card that allows one to withdraw from any POS or ATM machine in Canada, will that suffice as evidence of funds? or the funds must be with you in Canada at the point of landing, either as cash, bank draft or other money instruments?
3. If (2) above is acceptable, do i have to declare if my domiciliary account balance back home is more than C$10,000?
4. if the above arrangement (2) is not acceptable, what will be your advice on how to meet the evidence of funds criteria in a safe way?
Thank you

Good day,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I will like to ask the following questions:
1. Were you at any point during the landing formalities asked how much you had on you? This question is always asked, they will distribute declaration cards and you must answer but in recent times, they will tell you don't want to count it, only to know the figure. They collate the figures as part of national statistics
2.If the funds are in a domiciliary account in a bank back in Nigeria and one has a debit card that allows one to withdraw from any POS or ATM machine in Canada, will that suffice as evidence of funds? Please print your bank statement a few days to your flight showing the funds and bring with you. A PR holder was asked for his full POF in 2015 in Vancouver as narrated in this forum and was stressed by the intake officials. Another one was asked to lof into his online banking profile and show his bank holdings. This is very rare and random so be prepared to show something just in case. If they don't ask for full POF, go your way or the funds must be with you in Canada at the point of landing, either as cash, bank draft or other money instruments?
3. If (2) above is acceptable, do i have to declare if my domiciliary account balance back home is more than C$10,000?
4. if the above arrangement (2) is not acceptable, what will be your advice on how to meet the evidence of funds criteria in a safe way?
Thank you
Permit me to share from my experience as stated above.
