Appreciate your response. This will depend on your country, whether they give you pan country PCC or a city specific. If it is like US, where you get a country specific, you are good. If not, then you will need a PCC from every city you lived in.

You cannot give any connection to Montreal, QC even in your LoE. If you do so, then you will see a rejection, because to immigrate to Quebec you will have to go through the Quebec nomination process. Instead just file a general application, with your intent to reside anywhere apart from Quebec. Once you do land in Canada as a PR, you can move to Quebec without any questions asked.Hi Legalfalcon,
Last month, my PR application was rejected as it was considered "incomplete" because of choosing "Montreal, QC" as the city, province of destination. The thing is I am going to start a master's program at McGill University this fall, and that was the reason behind choosing QC as the province of destination (I wasn't aware its not under EE by then).
Today I am submitting a new PR application isA, I would like to have your opinion on the part of my LoE where I shed the light on my previous rejection.
here it is:
"Explaining rejection of my PR application No. E000732711:
It was considered "incomplete" because of that I have chosen "Montreal, QC" as the city and province of destination. I made a mistake being ignorant of the fact that Quebec is not under the EE immigration system. I only have chosen this city because I was applying for a master's program at McGill University there. Now that I am aware of it, I decided to live in Ontario – please see the next part of this LoE.
Explaining choosing "Alexandria, ON" as the town and province of destination, while studying at "McGill University, Montreal, QC":
After I have done my research and consulted people that are residents of Canada, I have chosen this city as it is the closest to Montreal with a train stop. The almost-one-hour-journey by train from "Alexandria, ON" to "Montreal Downtown, QC" makes it convenient for me to reside in Alexandria, without negatively impacting my studies at McGill. Adding to this, graduate students currently have discounted fares for transportation, which lessens the financial burden of staying in Alexandria.
Upon graduating my master's degree, my plan is to continue staying in Ontario as I have good command in English and can adapt and get well established there. Staying in Quebec is no option for me, as I have absolutely no knowledge of French (my master's program is taught in Englsih). This makes it very inconvenient for me to stay there after graduation as well as making it almost impossible to find a good job there."
Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Can't the visa officer see the approved student visa application on MyCIC portal? and if went through it, it will clearly indicate that I am going to Montreal. You cannot give any connection to Montreal, QC even in your LoE. This is because to immigrate to Quebec you will need a nomination from Quebec, and if you mention Quebec in your application, you will be rejected.
The application will be seen by the VO. But nothing stops you from claiming that you want to reside in Ontario instead of Quebec. Can't the visa officer see the approved student visa application on MyCIC portal? and if went through it, it will clearly indicate that I am going to Montreal.
One more thing, how do I explain my last PR application rejection - owing to choosing QC as province of destination - in my new application?
Thank you for your response! I have gone through this case before, and she seems to be lucky to be honest that her judicial review was accepted. The application will be seen by the VO. But nothing stops you from claiming that you want to reside in Ontario instead of Quebec.

Yes, and you can even execute an affidavit that you do not want to settle in Quebec, but will only be there to study. This is a complicated case, and you need to be careful.Thank you for your response! I have gone through this case before, and she seems to be lucky to be honest that her judicial review was accepted.
But just to make sure I get this correct, I choose Ontario, and when asked about previous applications will only provide the application number without any further details. Then, when I get to Canada, I provide an address in Ontario and that's it, right?
Sorry for bugging you again, how and where can I execute this affidavit?Yes, and you can even execute an affidavit that you do not want to settle in Quebec, but will only be there to study. This is a complicated case, and you need to be careful.
Since you have explained, I don't see a major issue. However, to be on a safer side, you should send a revised form with a explanation that you inadvertently answer the question incorrectly.Hi Legal Falcon,
My spouse and my self were requested to submit a Schedule A Background /Declaration form. I have since submitted the document but I now realize I said yes to the wrong question
Under section 6. Have you or if applicable the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada ever
d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa( including a Certificat de selection du Quebec (CSQ) or application to the provincial nominee program or visitor or temporary resident visa to Canada or any other country. (I answered no here when it should have been yes)
e) been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country? (I answered yes here when in fact I should have answered yes to the above question and no for this one)
I explained that I have been refused a US and Canadian visa before in the section below the questions. Will this be an issue seeing as I answered yes to the wrong question and if so what should I do?
The affidavit can be executed in your country of residence. However, it has to be well drafted, succinct and to the point.Sorry for bugging you again, how and where can I execute this affidavit?
ThanksSince you have explained, I don't see a major issue. However, to be on a safer side, you should send a revised form with a explanation that you inadvertently answer the question incorrectly.
It specifically asks for the employment details in the last 10 years, which will be only your employment details, not student or unemployment periods.Hello!
I'm submitting my Bridge open work permit application online (I'm a provincial nominee). When I'm completing the form 5710E, on the employment section, should I include only my employment? Or should I include all non-employment activities like being a student?
In the guide to complete this forms says: "Question 2 Previous Activity / Occupation Provide details of your previous Activity / Occupation for the past 10 years. If you are retired, provide the 10 years before your retirement".
Thanks!
