Hi Guys,
I applied my PR in Feb this year and now it's almost end of July. I have only got 2 updates so far, that my meds have passed which was almost 3-4 months ago and background check went in progress which was 2 months ago. After these updates I got no update so far and no requests for even additional documents.
Just needed your opinion that is it something to worry about? How long do they take for the background check?
I have also ordered the GCMS notes last week. Is that going to speed up my process?
Really worried about the current situation.
Would really appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.

It hasn't been 6 months. This is a completely normal timeline. Writing to them or ordering GCMS won't speed up the process any faster.

How quickly people forget it used to take several years for a PR application to be processed.

I haven't forgotten that it used to take several years but considering that a lot of people are getting PR in just 4-5 months now, I was just curious if everything is fine with my timeline or not.

Depends what stream you are. I assume you must be PNP Inland.

You are FSW inland. You can order gcms or just give them a call if you want to make sure its ok :) or else just wait till 6 months.
