Well, in terms of citizenship, it won't be affected. The point is your PR status might or might not be questioned. You better be prepared to convince the IRCC that your relation with your sponsor was legitimate and you didn't lie for the purpose of getting PR status!'
Once you're a PR, sponser's hands are off along your journey to the Canadian passport unless that sponsor screw your original intention towards the PR journey!!
Why would it matter? Any issue would be with your previous relationship, which theoretically you already proved the legitimacy of when you were granted PR under family class sponsorship. Would there be any reason for anyone to think misrepresentation was committed then? Were you granted conditional PR or full PR? If conditional, did you meet the requirements? Of course, like much of the Harper agenda on immigration and citizenship matters, that has been abolished, so maybe they wouldn't even care if you didn't. People fall in love; people fall out of love. Canada understands that.
