Yes. Not mandatory, but its good to do so.

At any time before the deadline. Some submit a day after getting an ITA.

appreciate your help and guidance.

Yes, that's fine. Just remove the transcripts as they are not needed.

1. Yes. Wife's account is also fine, as long she will also accompany you.
2. If you are certain this can easily liquefied to cash. then there is no issue to show this as part of your POF.

Good luck.

You said "2. If you are certain this can easily liquefied to cash. then there is no issue to show this as part of your POF."

But if these can be converted into cash, then there should be need to show them in POF.. isnt it ? I understand that we need to show POF where I can have cash in my bank accounts whenever required.

Thanks !

POF is not necessarily just cash in bank.

Although that is the safest way to put it.

For ex. in your case, CAD$10,000/- is the settlement fund required. But all you have is CAD$8,000/- The rest CAD$2,000/- can be shown as assets which you possess that can be easily liquidated to cash.

You cannot put land, buildings, vehicles, gold, etc.

But in your case, DEMAT is something which can be easily liquidated to cash. So you can include your DEMAT money. Basically, documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you.

Commonly what people use are FD receipts, Gift Deeds, etc.

I have also read that people who used Gratuity and Provident Funds as part of their POF and have got their application Approved.

But you also should note, proving your settlement fund is just one part of your POF. In addition to that, CIC states the following:

QUOTE

The applicant should provide an official letter(s) from one or more financial institutions that lists all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts, such as credit card debts and loans.
o The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months.

UNQUOTE

Trust the above clarifies your queries.

Good Luck.

yeah i'm not 100% convinced on DEMAT - primarily coz i have not seen anyone say they have used it successfully before, and also becoz i really dont know how that works

PF is fine - have seen several people use it successfully.

Hello Rajkamalmohanram, Thanks for such a great post. I have couple questions I need advice on. I have received my ITA under FSW for EE. I had an employer who used to pay me in cash and I don't have any salary slip or tax documents for that employer, I do have offer letter and experience letter though. I worked at this employer from 2010-2012 and after that I worked for 4 other companies of which I have all salary and tax documents.

I studied MBA from Canada and am working for a Canadian employer full time right now.

What are the chances that CIC will go to that employer from 2012 and ask for salary slips etc. Because if they do ask then I will not be able to provide and my manager has also left from that company who could do background verification for me.

My agent said I should apply for PNP and decline this ITA.

Please suggest what you think could be the best option for me.

The only mandatory document to provide is a reference letter following IRCC's requirements. That being said, IRCC can always ask for pay stubs, tax returns and bank statements during the processing of your application to see if you actually got paid.

My question to you would be, do you even need to claim points for this work experience? If you have a year of Canadian work experience and considering the fact that you studied in Canada your CRS score should be competitive enough to obtain an ITA without foreign work experience.

Hi,

This is perfectly fine. You are allowed to show POF from any bank/country in the world as there is no requirement for it to be from your country of origin.
For peace of mind, you can mention this move in your LOE; and if there is a significant difference between your current and average balances, you can show evidence of the transfer of funds.

All the best mate
Thanks a lot for your insight dear. What do you mean by LOE ??

Hi

I have a query for police clearance certificate.

I have lived in two places in India parental home and after marriage at the current address.
My current address is in my passport which was renewed three years ago.

Now my query is whether I have to get PCC from Passport office or can I get it from my local police station.

CIC Website Says
For residents of Punjab: You can apply to your local Senior Superintendent of Police, or the senior ranking police official at the police station in your district.

For residents of Delhi: You can apply at your local district police station or online on the Delhi Police website. The website will list what information and documents you need. If you apply online, your certificate will be returned to you electronically.

For residents of other states: You can apply at your local district police station.

For all residents of India: You can apply for a Police Clearance Certificate from the Passport office on the Passport India website. The website will list what information and documents you need.

LOE is Letter Of Explanation. You use it to give further details on your application when you submit.
