I have a permanent job offer for Senior Manager position in IT company in Toronto. Dual intent LMIA is also approved, and we are going to file for my work permit soon.

My question is regarding permanent resident - shall I apply for permanent residence under Federal skilled workers class now using 200 points for job offer? Or, shall I wait for one year after I start my employment in Canada and then apply under Canadian experience class? Which is a preferred method?

Noticed you're in IT, I am also in IT. I just went to a job search agency that is funded by the government of Canada called ACCES EMPLOYMENT. They have a huge section on helping people to look for IT jobs, workshops, resume writing, one on one interview and etc. It is free

If you have atlist 1year fulltime continuous foreign work experience and get 67 out of 100, I would suggest you to apply for FSW now. As you already have a job offer and will get additional 200 points. You will have a very good score in CRS and if your score is above 450, you are likely to get ITA in the next round. You will have to go through a bit of pain arranging all the paper works required to prove your foreign work exp. You wont even have to show the fund as already have a job offer. Your hardwork will definitely pay off later on.
