Hi, I applied my tourist visa on 14 July - online in Thailand. My application status says that it's in process and waiting for final decision. I noticed based on the forum that it can take longer than 90 days. I will be traveling to USA on 2nd of October and I am afraid that a result will still not come out by then. IN CASE, a decision has been made and my passport is requested while I am in USA, can I send it to the Canadian Embassy there instead even though I applied in Thailand (online)?

Yes, you can.

When you get a passport request, you must contact the nearest VAC/CSC (in NY or LA) and your current visa office to allow you to submit your passport in the US.

You will most likely get a decision well before you leave for the US
