Landing date extension request - worth the effort ?

Hi All,
Newbie to this forum & need an urgent help - have read some similar threads but wanted to specifically put forward our case.

Our landing date is 15th Nov 2017. Our medical expires on 31st Dec 2017.
Would you think its worth the effort to request for extension of date to 20 Dec ? Or is it too close a call ?

You can try but usually they won't bother. Too much of a hassle, you would need your COPR reprinted so it would reflect the new extension.
If you can land on the set date then much better.

You can't find a process because CIC doesn't allow extensions. I believe we've seen one person successfully get an extension here. But generally speaking, CIC doesn't consider these requests. You have to land before the expiry date of your visa.

We decided to go with the timelines. As recommended by many in this forum , it was not a good approach to ask extension.
So sticking to the timelines given by CIC.
