Hi!

I was also disappointed with my original writing test score of 6.5 so immediately after receiving the result, I returned it and paid for re-scoring/ enquiry on my results. After a couple of weeks, I was rescored a 7.5 and the payment I made for the enquiry was returned. If the enquiry was not in my favor, they would have kept they money. This also was a good outcome for my CRS score.

If you are truly doubtful and you are confident that you deserved a better score, why not make an enquiry.

Best of luck!

Check the totality of your scores. They should correspond to Canadian language benchmarks:
http://ieltscanadatest.com/test-results/ielts-and-clb/

The limitations per CLB also include restrictions like "no score less than 7.0" etc. which is probably why, I presume your CLB would have been a whole CLB lower.

If the jump is from CLB below 9 to a 9 and above, even for just a 0.5 difference for one test, it will make a huge difference to your CRS scores:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

This happened with me. With a 6.5 in writing, my CLB would have been limited to an 8, but I needed a CLB of 9 or above to make the cut with my husband.

Where did you take your IELTS? I can provide you the one for my country: https://www.idp.com/philippines/ielts/ieltsresults/eor

Cheers,
angeli
