Is it okay and safe to migrate in cananda having 2 years of IT exp

Hi, I am quite confused if is it okay to take this huge decision at this point. I have and exp of 2 years in IT and thinking to move to canada for IT Job. So how difficult is it to settle there? What are the difficulties? I am confused if i am thinking in right direction or no. Does my Indian education/exp count?
Most importantly can I trust these agencies like Yaxis which does the immigration process? Are there any more reliable ways?
And what are the estimate cost for the immigration process in Indian rps???

Hi you can do everything on your own. There is no need for any agencies. The process is quite straight forward. There are tons of information on this forum on each stage of the express entry. Please go through them. I did the whole PR process on my own. As far as IT opportunities, with 2 years exp this is the right time if you are looking to move. You can experiment for couple of years and then go back. Landing at an experienced age is more challenging than doing it at a young age. Good luck

Hard to say whether you will find an IT job easily or not. If you are prepared to take filler jobs until you can get the one you want, you will likely be fine. The real question is how motivated are you to move? If you really want to move to Canada, then I would say take the risk. Also the younger you are the easier it will likely be. It is much easier to find junior positions than senior ones.

its kind of a broad statement "working in IT"

i see people using it alot, i doubt they even know how many different jobs it means !

help desk technician, web developer, programmer (lots of different languages), android or iOS developer, technical support, network administrator, network engineer ( Microsoft or Cisco or Microtik or .... ) , VOIP engineer, Computer repair technician, repair engineer .....
these were on top of my head right now, and all these get categorized into entry level, junior and senior.

I myself, am a technical support engineer, repair specialist and network administrator with 5 years of experience in Iran, and am having panic attacks about finding jobs in Canada when i land !

All IT jobs seem to be saturated everywhere in the world.

You will find it easier if you have specialized skills or experience, especially in uncontested areas. However, if you are a generalized IT worker, you are competing with large numbers of people coming out of higher education. In cases like this, "Canadian Experience" is a huge factor that affects the employment opportunities open to you.

Possible but extremely difficult. You need to secure a full time job offer from a Canadian employer first and that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA. The LMIA process is long and expensive and requires the employer to advertise the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role. Most employers aren't willing to go through the LMIA process.

The same things you did in your home country and some...
1) Find a job posting with a role that you actually qualify for
2) Put together an application that demonstrates how you qualify for the role - saying "I have good communication skills" wont get you anywhere, rather share what you did in your past role that demonstrates your good communication skills.
Now in Canada...
3) Do some networking, connect with people in your area. LinkedIn - brush up your profile (recommendations are key), connect with recruiters, and market your self.

As one poster said, if you are not a PR yet, do not waste your time. Until then, go to job boards, search for roles that interest you, look at the qualifications and see how your skill-set compares, then develop the skills you lack. Also, brush up on your resume and ask any of the recruiters or professionals you connect with to review it.

I was able to secure a job without status (not in IT) but it is possible. With the job I was able to secure a workpermit, subsequent PR under provincial nomination and finally my citizenship.

Relying on job boards and just regular old job hunting approaches will fail. You will have to take a much more direct approach, be willing to do all kinds of things that will cost money with the risk of no return (like travel to canada for interviews). You will have to clear answers on many complex questions, like how and when and what.

Many people try to get jobs without PR status so employers tend to view these with some suspicion as most just end up wasting time.

It is not easy but it is possible. I got a job in two months after I started hunting, and was able to come to Canada within 6 months after I started the process, took about another year to get PR and after that the rest is history.

This is a complicated process, and will be very challenging, and you may not even succeed. Few do. If you want to do this you have to be certain that this is what you want. It will require unwavering resolve to make it happen, otherwise... well.
